Monday Muse – This n’ That

Hi there! Michelle, here, with a little Monday inspiration. And right off the bat, after making the page I made for this blog post, I have to admit – I can’t help but go a little embellishment crazy when I scrap! I have lots of fun adding and piling and making clusters of embellishments that I sometimes have to step back and remind myself that I need to leave room for a title and some journalling – (that’s where hidden journalling comes in handy, at times like it did on this layout!) he he! But really, its just so fun to pull out my Paislee goodies and use everything: stamps, rub-ons, transparencies, letter stickers, chipboard Topsiders, lovely patterned papers…they all coordinate so well together and its fun to mix and match!

A little of This n’ That is a fun way to scrap, take it from me! If its not your usual style to mix more than 5 different materials/techniques,/embellishments, why not try it out and test your creativity? Try layering the new Pink Paislee rub-ons underneath stamps or letter stickers to bring visual interest and draw the eye to those elements on your page. They’re an super-easy way to tie the design together and ‘distress’ the page a little. Mix-up your letter stickers throughout different words in your title – they come in so many great colors its hard not to want to try them all! Try stamping directly onto the chipboard Topsiders’ sticker surface with Stazon ink, or cover chipboard shapes with coordinating patterned paper. Paint on the back of one of the new transparencies as the base of your page and leave the lovely iridescent pattern peeking out!

Or do every one of those things on one page, like I did! I truly think I used almost one of every product Pink Paislee has to offer on this page! lol! And I encourage you to try as many products and techniques you can – just play! Have fun! The wealth of textures, patterns, and colors you’ll find from combining elements is just so lovely and maybe you’ll be addicted to it like me in no time! Here’s what I had so much fun making:

And for a little more inspiration, don’t forget to scroll down the blog to see the yummy “Tinsel Town” and “Sweet Cakes” new line reveals below!! Eeek! Love them to bits! Now, off to scrap you go with ideas whirling in your head, right? Thanks for stopping by, and happy scrapping!

Ramblings From Rebecca!

I tell you there is so much going on here at Pink Paislee.  I know alot of times our blog readers don’t see what is going on “behind the scenes” but I promise you we are always (and I do mean always) thinking about our loyal fans and our retail partners.  In fact….we are in the middle of redesigning our entire website so we can make it better for everyone.  Better for our fans…and better for our retailers.  We should have the whole thing wrapped up this month so the reveal should happen by October 1st.  Keep checking back because I think we may even have some fun events and giveaways once we “go live” with the new site.  I just love the way it is shaping up and we think you will too!

In addition to working on the new site, we are also just days away from opening up our new collections for pre-order.  Tinsel Town and Sweet Cakes will be shipping in late October and I am just in love with these little “mini collections.”  I got a sneak peek at a few layouts from Holly today and OH MY!  Can you say “swoon?”

As if those two things weren’t exciting enough we are also gearing up to ship out our Pixee Stix displays starting on Sept. 27th.  I have been just waiting for these glitter goodies to arrive.  We have also decided to sell the tubes in individual colors and I know that will make our retailers VERY HAPPY.  We were asked over and over again during the show if stores could just order 1 color or a few colors.  Now I am happy to report the answer will be “YES” instead of “we aren’t sure…”  We will be putting the individual colors on the site this weekend so retailers can order any color they like.  Of course we still think the display is the best option but for those stores who don’t want all 15 colors now we can help.   If you want some of these shimmery sweet treats be sure to tell your retail stores to order it soon!

Whew…are you still reading this?  :-)

Ok…look for the full reveal of Tinsel Town and Sweet Cakes this week on the blog.  We hope you will love it as much as we loved creating it.

Happy Scrappin!

Topsider Minibooks!

Today is Thursday Trends at Pink Paislee and a big trend I’ve noticed lately is shaped chipboard mini albums.  House shaped, flower shaped, scalloped edged… you name it, there’s a shaped book for it!  :)   So I was inspired to create my own minibook using the beautiful shapes in the Topsiders pack.  I just stacked several Pop Fashion Topsiders on top of each other, marked where I wanted my holes to be and used my Cropodile to punch through the chipboard.  Then I connected them all with a simple binder ring.  Tied a ribbon it, added some baby embellishments, and it’s ready to go.  I’m going to use this as a little gift and tie it onto a baby gift baby or something.

I used the same idea in a Halloween minibook using Vintage Moon Topsiders.  Here I just mixed them in with the standard square pages that were in the book.  It’s a fun way to change it up a little and gives extra space for journaling, photos, or just embellishments.  Plus with the Topsiders stickers already cut to the perfect size and shape, it’s a really fast addition to your book.  Just back the other side of the chipboard with patterned paper, paint or even a picture.

Have a great day!

borderline…

so, i’m kind of a border lover.

i think they’re just a fun way to spice up a page, draw attention to something or just plain have fun. so using the Vintage Moon Accents rub-ons, i spruced up this page a bit…i liked the page without them, but really like the page with them. (everything else is from the Pop Fashion line, with a Maya Road flower added on a whim.) and since they come in 12 inch lengths, i saved the leftovers for another page…why let good rub-ons go to waste, lol?!

now, i kind of got crazy with this next one, lol…but like how it turned out. Pink Paislee’s stamps are awesome…plain and simple. the images are crisp and clear every single time…so i decided to use one of the stamps from the Trick or Treat set as a border on this page. the cream cardstock is Bazzill Bling, so i used StazOn to stamp with…and added a gem in between each stamp. used a scrap of the MoonRakers die cut paper along the left side and then stitched the edges. LOTS of borders going on here…so i kept the rest pretty simple. there are a ton of different ways to use the stamps if you think outside the box a bit…go crazy with them!!

i have to add that we are LOVING all of the additions to the Photo Gallery over at Live Pink…Paislee fans everywhere are sharing ideas and providing lots of inspiration. so if you haven’t been there lately, PLEASE…go see what everyone has been up to!! and don’t forget to add your latest masterpiece to the gallery while you’re there!!

i know i would love to see what everyone can do with a fun border or two. =)

Weekend Inspiration….

I have been at it again.  I have been out “scouting” for kit club galleries and I found a few more to share with our blog readers this evening.  (Remember….if you are the owner of a kit club, online store, or retail store and you have an online gallery dedicated to Pink Paislee projects…send me a link.  When we have open blog days I will do my best to share them with our blog readers)  :-)

First….I got an email from one of the designers from My Creative Scrapbook and her projects were so gorgeous that I decided I needed to go over there and check out the rest of the gallery.  They have 2 kits that feature Pink Paislee this month.  The main kit has Vintage Moon and their is an album kit using a Maya Road album that includes the Pop Fashion papers.  Of course there are other goodies in there too!  Be sure to check out the extensive gallery HERE.  I included some teasers below!

Next up…..there is a gorgeous kit over at the Scrapbook Circle and the owner emailed me last week letting me know Pink Paislee was featured in their main kit for September!  It looks like the kit is sold out…but you can still head over there for lots of inspiration!  I love these papers mixed with bright bold patterns!  Very fun!  Check out the gallery HERE – Here are some teasers!

And finally….the girls over at Create My Keepsake have been having lots of fun with Pink Paislee!   Their main kit features Vintage Moon papers and lots of black accents.  I think there is also a Pop Fashion card kit available.  The gallery is starting to fill up over there too!  Click here to see the yumminess!

Here is a peek of a fun project I spotted over there!

Whew..that is a ton of inspiration!  Now I want to go scrap something…  ENJOY THE SHOW!
