I don’t care that we had unusual high weather yesterday, into the ’90′s. It’s September! School is in session, the summer shorts should be packed away. I am ready for Fall.
Monday September 22 is the first day of fall, but I am too impatient to celebrate it then, so today the word I am thinking about is FALL.
The Vintage Moon line is the perfect line to bring in the cooler temperatures. The warm colors are perfect for pumpkin patch photos, but the dark colors and coordinating embellies celebrate Halloween and those October activities as well.
The following layout used some of the delicious papers from the Vintage Moon line.

I used the shimmery Moon Glade as the base of my layout. I then trimmed the Moonrakers paper and used the die cut at the top of my layout. AFter that I used a very fun fall/halloween punch from Martha Stewart on the Hollow Moon paper. Don’t you just love the look? I bought the punch to use in a class I’m teaching next month at my LSS, but I haven’t been able to stop using it. I just love the effect.
I used a shaped topsider with some yellow cardstock to the left of my photo of Morgan, and covered it with some of the Vintage Moon pressons. I then finished with some fashion script alphas in blue. The flowers were made with some felt flowers from American Crafts and some vintage buttons. I also added some Kaiser jewels on top, and some leaves that I think I got at Walmart ages ago. The Dill Blossom line from SEI and their ribbons goes great with this line as well. I used some of their fall fibrous ribbon here, along, of course, with some hand stitching, and a fun price tag.
With the same papers, I made a Halloween card:

I added the some Fancy Frames from the Pop Fashion line, as well as a trick or treat stamp from the Trick or Treat stamp set for this card. And yes, there’s that punch again, lol!
I hope Fall treats you well! Ijust checked out the website for my local pumpkin patch, and noticed that the maze this year is a princess theme… a great big castle. Morgan is going to LOVE that. We get to go twice this year, once with her preschool, and once as a family with friends. We do it every year. We take the kids’ Halloween costumes for a photo of all the kids amongst the corn, and then we change and walk the maze. It’s one of the best parts of fall!
Have a great Wednesday!
