Well I figured since tomrrow is “the official” World Card Making Day why not make todays “Friday Sketch” a card sketch. Maybe this will push you to get that card started for tomorrow!!!
Today’s sketch is by the amazing Tammy Mayberry, it was created for the Card Positioning System blog. Now, I’ve never used a card sketch before, but let me just say… I will be back there very soon!
I saved like 5 sketches just from one visit. HeeHee Whether your a card maker or not there is definitely a sketch there for everyone. I do consider myself a cardmaker as well as a scrapbooker, but sometimes I feel like my cards are all turning out the same. I’ve found the cure to that! LOL So if your having card trouble or just want to get inspired just head over to CPS and make sure you check out all the designs the girls come up with there. Make sure you have a few napkins though, cause you’re gonna be droolin’. HaHa
Okay so here’s the sketch I chose for today. . .
And here’s my card. . .

Used the Office Lingo Die Cut this time around and added Rhinestones to some of the circles. YUM!

Here’s a closeup of some of the stamping I did. I decided to create some of my own patterned papers with stamping. The butterfly is from the Pop Fashion Stamp Set. Did some sewing there too. And of course the gorgeous Fashion Script Alphas!

Here’s my favorite part of the card! I stamped the butterfly onto the pink card-stock then cut it out. I added some glitter lines to the wings and some pearls to the center body. Then I had a chipboard butterfly from American Crafts so I painted it pink and added tones of glitter before it dried.
And last I glued them together. Isn’t that a nice little 3D effect. Love it!

And what’s a card without flowers? I just added a bow and a few pins to a little bundle of flowers I had here. Finishing touch! <3

So there it is.
:):)
Now don’t forget to come back here tomorrow! We’ve been working hard at some super fun cards to share! Read all about it on the post below this one!
See you tomorrow! And have fantastic weekend!
