I Have A Confession…

Nothing too juicy, lol…just an observation.

Having been a part of this WAY talented team for almost a year now, there is one thing that I notice every time I see one of the new projects posted.

These ladies have an AMAZING ability to use lots of beautiful Pink Paislee products at one time…tons of detail, a million places for your eyes to look for something you didn’t notice before…it’s often overwhelming to take it all in!!  So here is my confession.

I am not that kind of girl, lol.

It isn’t that I haven’t tried in the past to add pieces here and there and make them ‘fit’…but it just isn’t ‘me’.

And I’m ok with that!

So here is a layout I just finished with ‘Tinsel Town’.

I used a piece of Top Sider chipboard and covered it with the ‘Christmas Story’ paper. Folded a strip of ’34th Street back and forth and placed it under the Top Sider to make a ‘ruffle’ and then cut the trees out of the ‘Polar Express’ paper and plopped them onto the page with a pop dot. Just a few ways to add a bit of dimension to your pages without getting too ‘crazy’, lol.

I also used a few of the new stamps from Tinsel Town to make a few ‘tags’ that I layered together in the top right corner…I am still impressed every time I use one for the first tiime that image is just so darn clear! The border on top of the block of ’5th Avenue’ paper was made with a remnant of that ‘Polar Express’ paper that I punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and then i sanded it a bit. Add a few Pop Fashion alphabet stickers for a title and BAM!! Page completed.

So in the end, I just wanted to stress that while not everyone may be comfortable with layering/lots of detail, etc…it’s ok to be a bit more ‘simple’ in your own work, if that’s your style. I know I’m definitely in that category myself!

Have a great day…and be sure to check out the new Pink Paislee website…HERE!!
