One Sketch, Four Quick and Easy Holiday Cards

Well, today is Black Friday which means that the holiday season is officially upon us. The shopping, preparing, get togethers, projects, etc, etc….it’s the most wonderful AND BUSIEST time of the year!  So today I have a little sketch for you that could possibly make your holiday to-do list a tad bit easier.  I decided to come up with a very basic card sketch that I could tweek slightly to create four different Christmas cards.   And these are very simple cards that can be finished QUICKLY!  Just what I need in a holiday project!

Here’s the basic sketch I came up with….

Not too exciting, I know!  :)   But by changing the card orientation and modifying the design a little each time, here’s the set of four cards I created…

And like I said, these are fairly simple cards.  I’m a less is more kind of gal sometimes!  :)   Here’s a glimpse of each up close.

This was the first one I did in the set.  I obviously changed the orientation of the card from the sketch, but it still has the ribbon along the edge and the same sentiment placement.  I cut the cute little trees out of the White Christmas paper and then layered some on top of each other with pop dots.  Finally I added some pearl strand stickers for garland and a sentiment from the Tinsel Town Press Ons.

For this one I used a circle punch to punch out a hole in the front of the card.  Then I used some patterned paper on the inside of the card (so it shows through the hole) along with some more Press Ons.  (The black circle, the snowflake, and the “Merry Christmas”.) The paper on the top part of the card is Fifth Avenue.

This one also follows the sketch pretty closely.  I used some of the A Christmas Carol paper on this along with more Press Ons (I love these Tinsel Town Press Ons!!!) and a little tree made out of ribbon.  Super simple!

And finally this last one which is probably the easiest of all!  Just a stamp (in red) with two more Press Ons (tree and sentiment) and a little length of the pearl stickers.

I don’t think I will ever find the time to hand make ALL of my Christmas cards….but I definitely can find some time to make another set of these for those extra special people on my list!  Maybe each year I work up to making more and more…. we’ll see.  :)   Happy Friday!  And Happy Holidays!
