The countdown to Christmas has started here at Pink Paislee! Last month our design team participated in a fundraiser to benefit Operation Christmas Child. This silent auction crop event was hosted by Scrap Etc. in Alabama and we recently learned they were able to raise over $700 for these children. We were excited to be able to participate and decorate our very own PINK TREE for the Wrapper’s Delight Event!
We also decided these ornaments were too lovely to keep to ourselves….so we are hosting our very first 12 days to Christmas Countdown event and it all starts today! Check back everyday to preview new “ornament” ideas and get instructions from the team on how you can start creating your own handmade holiday ornaments. All of the ornaments you will see over the next 12 days will feature products from our Tinsel Town collection.
Today’s ornaments were designed from Danielle Flanders!
Gift Box Ornament
This is an inexpensive little wooden box that I found at the craft store and covered in the 5th Avenue paper around the edges of the box. Next I added the 34th Street paper on the top of the box. I found a holiday pick at the craft store for $1 that already came with the little pink and silver presents on it, and I thought it would work perfectly for this. I attached it to the top and added a bit of pom pom trim underneath. The green lace is from the Tinsel Town ribbon. Lastly, I added the tree and joy rub ons to the box and a bit of twine.
Icicle Box Ornament:
I found an icicle box pattern on-line, printed it out and traced it onto the back of the Jack Frost paper. Then I cut it out and folded it up (and added candy inside for the recipient). Before I tied it shut with the twine, I added the “to/from” rub on to the 5th Avenue paper and cut it out. Lastly, I added a strip of the striped paper and a piece of the 5th Avenue paper cut out around the design to the front of the box.
Check back tomorrow for more ideas from the team!
