Hi! This is Anabelle and I have a couple of ornaments to share with you. Tinsel Town is the perfect line to make vintage inspired decorations. I love all of the victorian Tussy Mussies that I’ve seen recently and knew that I wanted to make some with this line.
Both ornaments were quite easy to do. I started by creating a cone template. To do so, I used a compass and created an arc on my paper. Then when I had it to the size I wanted it to be, I used my ruler to create the straight edges. I cut it out and used it to trace onto the patterned paper. Next, I cut out the cone and rolled it up.I used a strong adhesive to seal it. I also added a few glue dots for good measure. After that, it was just a matter of embellishing.
On this first one, I pleated the paper and adhered it around the top. I cut out the design from the patterned paper next and then adhered the stamped image to the center of it. I added a bit of glitter and glued it to the center of the cone. Finally, I placed a festive pick containing little Christmas balls inside the cone and added the ribbon to hang it.
For this second ornament, I added silver glitter to the snowflake. Then I adhered a rubon image to the center of it. I accented it with jewels.
You can make larger Tussy Mussies to hang on doorknobs or smaller ones to decorate your tree. And you can fill it with just about anything. Have fun coming up with your own twist on this project.
Thanks for stopping by! ~Anabelle
