Shhh! Don’t tell anyone, but I rarely work from sketches. And, on the chance that I do, they aren’t drawn up by me. My whole scrapping process is a little different than that. I’ll admit that there are times that I do find myself searching for some inspiration from a sketch, though. And, when I’m in the mood for some sketchy inspiration, I always turn to Pencil Lines. I’ve long been a fan of their blog, and find that they have some of the most creative sketches out there. So, when trying to come up with a sketch this month, Pencil Lines was a natural source of inspiration for me to turn to. My selection…
was designed by Asa Bergstrand for Pencil Lines. I just loved the use of brackets, and how all of the elements are grouped together! So, here’s my interpretation of this fabulous sketch:
One of the things I love most about Pink Paislee is how well all of their collections can be worked together. And, this page really mixes it up! On of the stickers from the Pop Fashion TopSiders cut in half works perfectly for the bracket accents on this design. For the papers, I’ve combined Paislee Postcards, 5th Avenue and Jack Frost from the Tinsel Town collection; Cubicle and Lunch Hour from the Office Lingo collection; a bit of Moon Glade from the Vintage Moon collection for the swirl in the background; and a bit of Pleasant from the Enchanting line for the “Snow” portion of the title. Little brads from the Fascinating and Enchanting collections, in addition to a little sprinkling of glitter from various colors of Pixee Stix, add a little sparkle and dimension to the smattering of hand-cut snowflakes on the page.
Speaking of snowflakes, I am always looking for fun little craft projects to keep my little ones busy indoors during the cold winter months. And, hand-cutting snowflakes was one of the crafts we chose to do this month. Little did I know that one of my hand-cut designs would make its way onto this very page…

You can find all sorts of fun patterns to tryright here. I cut mine from the Lunch Hour paper, added a little glue to the edges, and sprinkled it with some Blueberry glitter. Voila! A pretty, handmade embellishment to add to your winter pages. See… all of those fun school-age crafts aren’t just for kids!
