Manic Monday – Stamp Your Backgrounds

Today’s Manic Monday is all about stampin’.  If you are familiar with the Pink Paislee stamps then you certainly know how much fun it is to play with them. :) I love to use my stamps to make cards, so that’s exactly what I’ve done this time around.  Cards are a simpler form of scrapbooking for me and don’t require all the mess and I use up lots of left over precious pieces of paper.

I wanted to customize some of my patterned papers for these cards and I was able to do that with my stamps. I coordinated my papers, inks and embossing powders to create a subtle look, yet a noticeable one. I love the raised effect and still such a soft feel. So pretty.

On this card I used the circle graphic from the Vintage Moon Stamp Set and embossed it to create the subtle background on this card.  You can see in some of the close ups just how fabulous it really does look. It’s a great way to add that extra touch to any card or layout.

Here is another example I created showing the border square stamp from the Fancy Frames set.

It is so fun to customize papers to fit that exact them your going for… Other ideas that would be would be great using this technique would be birthday layouts, monograms on your papers or cards, specific numbers for birthday ages, different words for different occasions, and with Pink Paislee Stamps there are tons of different images to get creative with.

I say dust off those stamps and start customizing some papers! This is an awesome idea to start using up those papers you’ve been hoarding that are going outta style. HeeHeeHee.

Have fun and be sure to upload any Pink Projects over at Live Pink. Can’t wait to see what you’re making.
