A Layout Contest {What’s In A Title?}

We have a super fun contest to tell you about today!  Over at Create My Keepsake they are hosting a Pink Paislee “layout” contest and 4 winners will be awarded prize packs that are truly Captivating…Enchanting…Fascinating…and Fetching.

The really cool part about this contest is that all you have to do to play along is create a layout using up your Pink Paislee stash and make sure that your layout uses one of our collection names as part of the title. Pretty Cool huh? I think everyone out there could come up with layout that includes a Fascinating or Fetching title :-)

Click HERE for full details on how you can play along to win!  And…good luck!  We will be watching for your entries.

Thursday Trend – Layering with a Twist

Hi everyone, I am going to show you how to create a layered layout with a twist,  I am a dimensional scrapper, and I love to create different elements of layering on my projects.  I have taken it one step further today by actually layering the whole layout so that it will sit up, all you do is pick up the top of the layout and stand it upright.  To create this I used Transparency (Thick) to help hold my embellishments into place so when you lift the layout the embellishments stand on there own, and then just layered other embellishments as I generally would with foam mounting tape (Cutting out pattern papers etc).

I used the gorgeous and very vibrant Collection “Fetching” starting with the Matt circle which I folded in half, then organised how I wanted the layout to look visually when I stood it up.  I cut out the patterns in the paper and started to build the layout and it all came together, I also used the “Fetching Chipboard Elements” “Fetching Sticker Book” and  the “Spring Fling Clear Stamps” which are just so cute, and very versatile.

As you can see a little different but an awful lot of fun to create,  you can store the layout  in your album just like any other layout by folding the layout down.  I have actually made a few of these layout, and I just love them, great little pressies, one for Mum and Dad coming up.

Well thats about it I hope you have fun trying to create your own scene.

Have a great day.

Tasty Tuesday!

Hi everybody!!! Tuesdays on the Pink Paislee Blog is dedicated to food…hence the name Tasty Tuesday! I normally don’t scrap about food (perhaps because I’m too busy eating it LOL) but I had this precious picture of my girl with rice all over her face that I had been saving for a while. It went perfectly with the Pedal Pusher paper from the Pop Fashion line and so this layout was born (sorry for the cheesy Vanilla Ice reference – thanks to Kristina for pointing that out LOL!):

To create the inner brown scalloped border, I cut the scallop border from the Captivating shaped paper and removed about 3 scallops to make the circle smaller. I glued the smaller circle just on the inside of the Office Lingo shaped paper and then sewed it down. To make the most of my fabric flowers, I separated the layers from the Captivating and Enchanting flowers. I ended up with a larger and a smaller flower for each of my original flowers.

One thing I love about Pink Paislee is how the different lines co-ordinate. For this layout, I used several different lines and I love how they work together. Have you created layouts that combine several different PP lines? Come share them with us on Live Pink!

Super Sunday!

Hello there everybody!!. It is a glorious Sunday, is it not??? Here in Cape Town, the sun shining & the rains have passed, I hope where ever you are, you are having a super long-Memorial-weekend , filled with sunshine too & you are getting a chance to spend some time with your families?

Talking about families….I am going to be an Aunt for the first time…yahooo! & together with the rest of my family we are SOOO excited about the arrival of this little babe . So I thought in honor of this special weekend,  I’d use family as my theme for my blog post this month.

My page is of my brother & sister-in-law and how much joy this little princess has already brought them (and us…I had forgotten how much fun is is to shop for a baby girl).
I thought I’d put a page together to showcase the pregnancy and their latest scans in a discreet way….you will notice in the top left corner I stopped the stitching short to leave a little pocket for the scans to be slipped into.

I used Captivating~Beautiful as my main paper choice with that cute scalloped paper frame from the Office ling range. These co-ordinated beautifully  with a gorgeous blue linen flower, where I substituted the center button with a glossy black brad from the Fascinating range. The blue lace is from the Sweet cakes ribbon set & the chipboard & sticker elements are from the Enchanting & Fascinating lines. The little stamped frames for my baby quotes & rub-ons are from the Pop Fashion line.

I love how all the Pink Paislee ranges work so well together. No chance of ever running out of variety or fun stuff to use on my pages. Now, remember we LOVE getting the chance to enjoy your creative & inspiring pages…so be sure to keep uploading them into the gallery!

Have a super day!

Pretty In Pink {Member Spotlight}

I have spotted the most gorgeous creation in our Live Pink gallery this morning!  Anabelle O’Malley uploaded this incredible, vintage inspired gift set that has me drooling for more.  Anabelle used our Enchanting Press ons, our Enchanting sticker book and a few Enchanting chipboard elements to create this beautiful set and I am in awe of the results.  Those mini roses in the butterfly centers are just to delightful!
