Amber Road Reveal – Sneak Peek #1

A few years ago I bundled up in my favorite sweater and joined some friends on a country hayride before feasting on an amazing BBQ dinner.  This collection brings back a lot of really great memories from that night.  A night where friends, family, and young kids all mingled beside the bonfire to enjoy the autumn evening.  It probably sounds too good to be true but it really happened and I am so glad we have the Amber Road collection to remind me of that event!  Pilgrim pictures or not…this collection takes you on a journey that is worth remembering.

This collection will begin shipping to retail stores in early August.  One of the big things you will notice is that our papers are now DOUBLE SIDED!  Same great paper but now it is twice as fun!  We are also so excited to tell you that every item in our product collection will have an MSRP of $4.99 or lower; these items were developed with your budget in mind and we know that puts a smile on your face.

Now…let’s get to the reveal

Autumn Blossom

Apple Cider

Harvest Hayride

Bonfire

Paislee Postcards

Fall Festival

Now for the embellishments:

Clear 12″ border stickers!  Clearly these are cool.

Um…yeah I have been wanting to do printed canvas “patches” for a long time.  So lightweight and fun to use….these are a must have.  Just look how amazing they are hanging on that magnet board above…tee hee!

As always our easy to use and cute press ons are here and this time they are full color designs for easy coordination.

Our punchout die cut tags are now folded and packaged in a polybag for easy storage, and better visibility.  Love them.

Brads…but this time better.  Glitter always makes everything better :-)

Man oh man…did we hear about it last winter when we didn’t release any new stamps.  Well we are happy to report that they are back and NOW with a better price.  Our new 4×4 stamp sets retail for just $4.99 (here in the U.S.) – Crazy amazing.

A little peek at what our amazing creative team is doing with these goodies:

We hope you enjoyed this peek from Pink Paislee! Be sure to leave a comment telling us which paper pattern you love the most!  We will draw one random winner from all of the comments on this post and someone will win the entire paper collection + a few extras!!  (winners will be announced Saturday the 26th.)

Check back tomorrow for another fun peek!

Saturday Sketch

Hello, everyone!  I hope you are all having a great summer so far.   :)

I was so excited that my blog day fell on a Saturday this month.  I just LOVE working with sketches, so this project was a real treat for me.  One place I always look for sketch inspiration is Sketch This.  Janelle Lee has so many great sketches to choose from, it was hard to pick just one.

I chose an older sketch (Layout Sketch #25).

Now this sketch was created for a layout, but I wanted to show you all that they are perfect for making cards too.  I stayed pretty true to the sketch, but added my own little touches.  I just substituted a solid piece of patterned paper for the two photos, and added little border strip along the bottom of the panel.  Don’t be afraid to change it up though.  Sketches are a wonderful way to get your creativity started.

Products used- Enchanting:  Pleasant, Adorable, Wonderful, Sticker book;  Captivating:  Alphabet Stickers, Chipboard Alphabet; Office Lingo:  Outside the Box, Die Cut Shapes

Hope the sketch and my card help to get you motivated to play with your scrappy supplies.

Have a great weekend!

introducing emily anderson…our july guest artist

Hi!  I’m Emily, wife to Keith and mother to 3 little people (soon to be 4 little people!)

I love pretty much anything crafty and creative. Scrapbooking takes a front seat (after photography) because I love the fact that I’m preserving precious memories for my kids (and hopefully their kids, and their kids…and so on). I have a great, supportive husband who allows my creative brain to flow through everything (even the way I dress–which sometimes, he just doesn’t get!). And I’m blessed with those 3 sweet little beans that i get to take numerous pictures of on a daily basis and then scrap those aforementioned pictures! My kids will never be able to say that they don’t have any pictures of them from when they were little! You can view my daily ramblings at www.andersonfamilycrew.blogspot.com.

Emily’s Projects for Pink Paislee:

First of all we love Emily’s shabby yet whimsical style all wrapped up into 1 package.  Each project includes a fun little surprise somewhere and we love that!  And that photo of Emily and her husband is the sweetest thing evah!

We are really excited to meet Emily in a few weeks at CHA as she has offered to help us work in our trade show booth in Orlando!  If you want to meet Emily be sure to come by to say hello to us in booth 533!

Thanks again Emily for creating such gorgeous projects to inspire us all!

Tasty Tuesday time!

With summer finally here, my garden has an abundance of fresh produce to harvest!  To be honest, it is WAY more than my little family can eat.  So, I’ve been busy canning up lots of the fresh veggies and even giving some of my yummy pickles away to our neighbors.  But, you know me… I can’t just give away a plain old glass jar!  Of course, I HAVE to embellish them!

It’s so simple to do!  Just start by selecting a small swatch of fabric, finding a circular object to trace that is a few inches wider in diameter than the lid of your jar (I used a large spool of tape), and grab a fabric marker!

Trace your circle, and cut it out with some pinking shears.

Then, use a rubber band to secure the fabric onto the top of your jar.

Now you’re ready to start embellishing!  I used a length of lacy ribbon from the Sweet Cakes collection, wrapped it to cover the rubber band, and secured it with a dot of hot glue.

To top the jar off, I used a rub-on, some letter stickers, a flower and a brad to fancy it up.

The possibilities are endless!  You could use some Pink Paislee label stickers to print out labels for the front of your jar.  Or, you could even make some tags out of patterned paper to tie on with the canning date on them!

And, if you’re not into the whole canning thing, you can dress up a jar of store-bought jelly the next time you want to make up a gift basket for someone.  Just be sure to remove the label first… don’t worry, I won’t tell. *wink, wink*

A fun twist on stamping! (Stampin’ Sunday)

Good evening everyone!  I have recently started stamping more and more on my projects.  Because of this I am constantly trying different, fun things to liven it up a bit!  One of my favorite things to do is to stamp on transparency paper and then stamp the same image onto plain paper and use the transparency on top.  It gives it a 3-D look!  (Transparency sheets are also an excellent way to pre-plan where you want to stamp – simply stamp the image on the transparency, cut it out and then place it around your project to see where it looks best!)

For this layout I used one of my favorite Pink Paislee stamp sets (I’m in love with that butterfly!):

So, what are you waiting for?  Grab that transparency paper and start playing!!
