All Aboard………This Train Is Pulling Out Of The Station Soon

Want to join us as we embark on an inspiration tour around the globe?  Several members of our design team (12 of them in fact) have been crafting, scrapping, and developing new project ideas just for this very special event.  These projects have never before been seen and today we will discover them together.

The Inspiration Station is where it all begins. (yes…that is code for right here on our blog…)

We will guide you to all 12 of the “official stops” and you will have all weekend to visit each stop.  While you are there you will find a gorgeous project complete with instructions and you will be able to leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win 1 of 13 prize packs directly from our conductor!

We are going to gather up some steam this weekend and we hope all of our passengers will enjoy the sights and sounds of this very special tour.

As it so happens this is the FIRST STOP on the tour.  So before you board the train and settle into your seats you get to enter your name into the drawing for our very first prize pack.  Just leave a comment on this post and your name will go into our special drawing!  Wherever you go when you see this official stop logo below then that means you can leave a comment to win!

All comments for prize entries must be received by Sunday at 5:00 p.m. CST.  We will announce winners next week here on our blog so be sure to check back to see if you are one of our special passengers!

So…………..ALL ABOARD.………it is time to begin our inspiration station tour.

The Tour Starts Tomorrow Friday The 30th!

In honor of National Scrapbook Day and Mother’s Day {which is fast approaching} we have decided to host our very first design team blog hop of the year!  The team will be focusing on projects that you can use as gifts for your mother’s or for yourself so while you are planning on cropping the weekend away let us provide the inspiration for you!

The fun starts tomorrow so be sure to come back for your exclusive ticket.  Instructions for the tour will be posted in the morning.  See you SOON!

Tuesday’s Titles

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today I want to show off the new Starlight collection and talk about titles.  I think titles are such an important part of a layout. Not just what the title is called but how it is displayed. I view it as another opportunity to sneak in a few more details.

For my title here, I have used 3 different alphabets (Starlight alphabet stickers, Expressions Ambrose Alphabets – Coconut and Expressions Weathered Wood).  I used glitter glue on the chipboard letters and slightly overlapped them for a nicer visual effect. I then added a piece of cork from the 365 degrees collection.  I also replaced two letter O’s in the title with stickers from the starlight collection.  Pink Paislee has so many beautiful alphabet stickers that mixing them up is just irresistible!

Thanks for visiting!

Tombow + Pink Paislee = inspiration & prizes

**UPDATE.  THERE HAS BEEN A LITTLE BIT OF CONFUSION ABOUT THESE GIVEAWAYS AND WE APOLOGIZE.** WE ARE LETTING TOMBOW CHOOSE OUR WINNERS ALSO SO JUST KEEP COMMENTING ON THE TOMBOW BLOG THIS WEEK.  YOU WILL BE ENTERED INTO BOTH GIVEAWAYS FROM US AND TOMBOW. (WE WILL MAKE SURE THEY DRAW 2 WINNERS FOR US ALSO…)  :-)

Behind every great paper crafting project is the adhesive and tools right?  Well this week Tombow is showing off designer projects featuring products from Pink Paislee!  How cool is that???  Many of you might not know this but we are a very friendly and dare I say it FUN company.  We like to stay in touch with other companies in the scrapbook industry and we will often trade products to help promote one another or maybe we just like to share the love.

This week (ALL WEEK LONG) you can head over to the Tombow blog and leave a comment for your chance to win some really cool prize packs.  We are giving away (2) prize packs valued at $25 (but hey…we might just throw in more since we are cleaning out the office getting ready for the big move…tee hee)

To win one of these awesome prize packs you need to RUN over to the TOMBOW blog HERE and leave some comments.  You can actually leave a comment everyday for even more chances to win.  They will draw the winners next week and we will send out some fun prize packs to the winners.

So stick around (pardon the adhesive pun here…) and you might be one of our lucky winners.  Even if you don’t win you will get to see some awesome projects from the team over at Tombow.

Have fun!

Monochromatic Monday

Monochromatic color schemes work for several reasons.  Design choices are easier when you are picking one common color because there is no need to make everything match.  There is a flow of the eye when everything is the same shade of color.  Finally, using a monochromatic background is a great way to make photos or small embellishments pop right off the page.

When I saw recent photos of my son and noticed the dark tones, I knew that creamy yellows would be the perfect compliment.  Look at how the pictures are the clear focal point!  I simply grabbed different shades of yellow papers, Punch-outs and Flip Notes from the Queen Bee collection, and then started layering.  If you look closely, you will notice an oldie-but-goodie paper from one of my all time favorite Pink Paislee collections, Vintage Moon.  Here is the layout!

Because of the monochromatic color scheme, I wanted there to be texture on my page. So I grabbed some cork buttons and used them around the page. I cut one of the square ones to create the photo corners. Finally, I finished off my details with an Artisan swirl, which I shaded yellow with a colored pencil. So easy to work with!

Grab your Pink Paislee yellows, reds, oranges or greens today and give monochromatic a whirl!
