Tuesdays Tip: Pocket Cards!

Welcome to Tuesdays Tip – this time a quite simple one :)

When attaching memorabilas, make pockets for them :) I’m gonna share two examples, using cards:

Here’s a card using mostly “365 degrees” and “Bayberry Cottage“.

When cutting the base of the card however, I’m making sure there’s an extra flap where I want my pocket to be, so that it can be folded into the card & a pocket created.

In this case, it holds a giftcard from iTunes.

It’s nicely tucked within the card :)

Here’s a closeup of the front, utilizing the lovely Artistan Tapes & Cork Buttons :)

The second card is yet another card made with mostly “365 degrees”. Check out the Artistan Elements – it’s such a yummy material. I sprayed mine with metallic red Maya Mist and painted white gesso upon it when dry.

Inside it holds a CD with photos and a note (made out of two layered Punch Out Die Cuts)

This is how the base of the card looks, before being folded & decorated.

Some more closeups:

Hope you feel inspired to create cards with a little extra surprise inside now :)

Thanks for watching :)
