I know it’s not quite Halloween yet, but I just adore that holiday (maybe it’s the candy that I like so much??), so I’m getting a jump start on my Halloween cards/gifts! I’ve made 2 quick and easy cards by combining the Hocus Pocus and the Starlight lines by Pink Paislee!
To create the first card, make a card base from black cardstock. Cut a strip of white cardstock for the top and punch with a scallop punch, and attach to inside top of card. Punch Starlight – Dazzle paper with a 2″ circle punch. Punch a star out of the center. Adhere to card. With same star punch, punch one out of the Hocus Pocus paper. Attach a purple button to center and adhere to card. Adhere ticket, 2 small buttons and a chipboard tree.
To create the second card, create a card base with white cardstock, then layer two of the Hocus Pocus Flip Notes. Cut a portion of the canvas border, punch another circle from the same Starlight paper as the previous card, then add a chipboard tree painted black, 2 star stickers, a Hocus Pocus metal badge, and another star punched from one of the 6×6″ Hocus Pocus papers.
And I have one more thing you can make to go with your cards, a little mummy gift box.
To create this box, print out these 2 patterns on 8 1/2 x 11″ paper. Cut these out for your patterns. Trace both patterns onto thick black cardstock. The thicker the cardstock, the better the box will hold up. Cut out. Fold on all dotted lines and cut on all solid lines as the pattern shows. This is the inside of the box, so when you fold it up, your pencil lines will not show.
When you have #1 and #2 cut out of black cardstock, you will overlap the X’s and glue. You will have one large piece now that is your box. Next, fold up the box, tucking all tabs in. Adhere all tabs, except the bottom tab, you will leave that one open for now to insert your candy. Fill a small baggie with any sort of crunchy candy. Here I’ve used M&M’s. Slide bag of candy into bottom of box. Adhere last tab closed. The box is approximately 6″ long x 3 1/4″ wide when finished. I also added a piece of Hocus Pocus striped paper to dress up the side and some Hocus Pocus stickers on the top!
Enjoy!

Absolutely amazing post Dani! Thanks for sharing your great ideas for cards and the box template!
These are too cute! I so want to try them out. I see that you said to print the patterns on 8 1/2 x 11 paper but does it have to be at a certain enlargement? When I print the bottom pattern it seems so small….Thanks.
