Last week I got an email from Kim Arnold and Heidi Sonboul from the GCD Studios design team telling me that they had just discovered that the Melody Ross Chip Art Tool works perfectly with our Artisan Elements! We were both so excited to find out that our products were a “crafting” match that we decided to give away a packet of these goodies to 2 lucky blog readers! (PRIZE PHOTO BELOW)
This past weekend I also got a hold of this tool so I am anxious to test it out myself! The good news is we are lucky enough to have a tutorial from Kim Arnold to show to you!

“The GCD Design Team was asked to create a project and a tutorial on how to use the chipart tool so I decided to pull out the Artisan Element frames from my stash since I was curious if it would work on the foam material.”
I started my project with this frame:
Then I decided to add my name to the center of the frame using the Chip Art Tool. My tip is to start with the middle letter and then work out on both sides to make sure it is centered in the frame.
Then I sprayed the artisan element with Glimmer Mist in a color that would match my layout. I added several sprays of the mist and moved it around so that it would sink into the grooves of the letters and the frame. Blot off any extra mist with a paper towel. Then you will need to let it dry (I left mine overnight.)
Now that it is dry it is ready to be added to my layout. These artisan element frames are self adhesive so it was easy to peel it up and stick it right down to my layout!
