Thursdays Trend – Cutting Stuff in Half

Haha, I’m sorry, I couldn’t think of a better title, or how to describe this trend.

If I were to take a stab, I guess this trend could be described as “a hip way of cutting your tags and papers and effortlessly throw it back on your page w/your sewing machine and add a few splotches of mist here and there and with stuff added randomly along the edges”…..close?

So… I took a white sheet of cardstock, added a few spots of Graphite and Jazz Blue Glimmer Mist, grabbed a sheet of the cool Sweetness Flip Note, took a pair of scissors and just cut it unevingly across, and sewed it back on.

I just love the Artisan tapes – I used a few different ones both on the layout and around the edges here and there..

Like here – two of the tapes are layered upon each others, with a cutout from the torn end of a Flip  Note stapled upon.

Even the photo was sewed onto the layout (and yes – thats one of my fave stilettos ;) )..this layout is about my love for stiletto heels and the worrying that despite my love for these, I keep thinking more practically lately, stopping myself from such purchases because I’m more like, asking myself  “sure, but can you really work in these?”, which prompts me to look for flat/practical shoes instead, which makes me a bit sad because…I’m maybe….growing more old mature and stuff…:p

And here – I used the bottom part of the older Flip Notes..and a piece of Parisan Anthology Flair Variety Star with a pearl glued on top :)

If you look at the layout you’ll see both rubons, tape, transparencies and paper utilized around the edge of the layout. I like this style/trend – it’s fun and effortless!

Hope this post was inspiring to you…:)
