Hi there, Ania here with a lettersize-sketch which I turned into a 12×12 for my purpose
I printed out four photos, then started looking for a sketch that would fit them. At PageMaps (an excellent source for sketches) I found this (from the May-archives) which would fit my purpose. I just needed to do a minor correction to the sketch..
Namely, mirror it before starting
When I start on a sketch I usually figure which “way” I want to do the sketch, then stare on it intently before putting the sketch away & work on my project. That way I feel somewhat free from the sketch while also having a basic starting point.
I used both the 12×12 and 6×6 papers from the Hocus Pocus-line.
I hate wasting – this bottom half of a clear card was a leftover, and I figured I might as well use it here.
For the backgroundpaper itself – I cut it approx an inch (or well, maybe half?) from the edge w/a craft knife – all the way around – then adhered both papers to a sheet of cardstock, sewed the edges then worked them some.
For the journaling-tag I sprayed a tag w/orange glimmer mist, cut it in half then rubbed rub-ons from Bayberry Cottage on one half while using the other upon for the journaling itself.
Gah I love metal badges!! Combined w/stickers here…
Fun layering: Flip note, 6×6 papers, sticker, Artisan Ornament, Doodad..
So while you can recognize the setup from the sketch, I think my layout turned out pretty personalized, and I had fun working on this layout – yay!
Materials used:
Hocus Pocus – 12×12 paper, 6×6 paper pad, stickers from the kit, metal badges, doodads, flip notes, clear cards
