Don’t you love how elegant monochromatic palettes can be?
The Parisan Anthology-collection is just perfect for customizng; here I’ve chosen the color (or, is it a color? If black and white are normally not counted as real colors, then what is grey?) grey – from bright, almost white grey, to dark, almost black grey.
I love the effect you get by shaking your bottle of mist, opening the bottle (remove the spray-top) and just dip a brush into the mist to paint the color onto your paper. Use quick, broad strokes, don’t try to cover the whole paper, leave visible brushstrokes – it’ll give the paper a lovely look
The fleur-de-lis comes from Tattered Angel, and comes with a raised, embossed pattern. If you paint this w/colored mist, it’ll be more visible. However, I decided to paint this in white chalk, to strengthen the whiteness of the chipboard. I punched small holes in the chipboard with my crop-a-dile so that I could attach this Brooch Brad to it. The whole chipboard is adhered to soft, silverygrey ruffled ribbon that I sewed so it would turn into a rosette
I love that you get so many tickets (100!) in one roll of the Parisan Anthology Tickets! Makes me less hesistant to use them – and they’re great used in multiples
Here they’re stapled to a Parisan Anthology Note
Love the different shades of grey depending on how many brushstrokes there are, and the pattern that turns more and more visible with each stroke.
Here’s a second, lighter card using a more silvery grey mist mixed with some darker greys in the embellishments.
Who says you have to sew close to the edge? Use your sewing machine to create a subtle, inner frame
Bakers Twine, oh how I love thee…I so need more color-combos! Notice how I added some smaller, dark grey splotches on the ticket aswell?
Again, I decorated stuff on the small Parisan Anthology Note
Using punched butterflies from another Parisan Anthology-paper painted with dark grey mist
It truly makes it pop up, don’t you think?
I love dimensional layering
