Get To Know Guest Artist Ronda Palazzari

Hi Everyone! My name is Ronda Palazzari, like the beach boy song…help me Rhonda…only “no h.” I currently live in the burbs of Denver, Colorado with my husband Andy and two teens.   I love all things crafty….. scrapping, cooking, knitting, sewing, interior decorating, and photography. I am addicted to chai teas, I love to travel, say “Shut Up,” “Totally,” “Dude,“ & “No Worries” way too much.  I am obsessed with colors & rainbow order, love to read books & sometimes reread my favorites.  I find that being a SAHM is one of the hardest but most rewarding jobs, I am always listening to music & I have a very eclectic taste, I love baking & the scent of vanilla, I am addicted to Project Runway, Top Chef, & America’s next top model.  I also love to sleep in late when I get the chance & am very much a night owl, and…I totally dislike writing bios because I sound so cheesy.

I like to call my style Uptown Antique Brie: a little class, a little vintage, and a lot of good cheese. I love the new, flashy stuff but have an appreciation for vintage items. I love to push the edge of products and use them in unconventional ways. Most of my layouts (if not all) are cheesy, scrapping the emotions and everyday moments. I love using bold colors and combining colors that surprise people.

Some of my proudest scrapbook moments are being a named a Memory Makers Master (2009), becoming part of the Crate Paper, Lilybee, Purple Onion, The Color Room, and Cocoa Daisy Design Teams.  I have had a love affair with Pink Paislee since the begging and am just so thrilled to be guest designing this month.  Father Christmas is a such a beautiful collection.

Ronda’s Designs For Pink Paislee

Seeing this project totally reminds me how great our Father Christmas collection looks with kraft paper…and our red glitter letters really pop off of the page.

Our Father Christmas ATC cards and Punchouts are perfect for building small clusters like these!

We love how Ronda added a little bit of Parisian Anthology ribbon on this layout.  It is so Shabby Chic it really goes with this page so perfectly!

I adore these handmade bows!  And that bark looks delish too!

Aren’t these little gift tins precious?  I bet big things do come in these little cuties.  Or if they are filled with M&M’s that is ok too…

Handmade Gift Bags

These projects are the perfect finish to our month long celebration for the holidays!  We are so happy to see that Ronda was able to use our Father Christmas collection to create so many different projects from gift bags, cards, bows to layouts!  She was able to incorporate these products into every aspect of her holiday creations! Gorgeous and inspiring all the way around and a sure gift to all of us.

Thank you Ronda for sharing your talents with all of this month!

This is your last opportunity to participate in Yesterday & Today at Big Picture Classes. Don’t miss out on this popular class!

Yesterday & Today

  • Where do you begin creating with photos from generations past?
  • What do you wish you knew about your parents when they were growing up? What life lessons do you want to pass on to your children?
  • How do you document the challenging times in your life?
  • How do you create layouts that tell special stories when you don’t have any photos?

Ali says,

“The benefit of looking to the past is that we gain perspective. We see things differently after developing an awareness of what we know and what we wished we knew. Looking back, even if we’re just viewing old photos of people we don’t know, can change the way we approach the photos we take and the stories we tell today.”

Now A Special Treat

You would think that during this time of year we get to take some time off and kick back to relax…but let me tell you how it really goes…right now we are prepping and testing new products for our reveal in January of 2011.  We receive samples almost daily and we put them through our own “crafting” tests to make sure they are perfect for the retail shelves.  If it doesn’t work or doesn’t meet our standards then we go back and tweak certain specs or colors.  We are working on 4 brand new paper collections that are so different from each other that we know you will find something to fall in love with!  Today as a special treat we are giving you a teeny tiny peek of each collection so you can start dreaming of ways you can use these fun products next year!  If you want to tell us what you think we would love to hear it!

Our official Sneak Peek Week will begin 1.24.11 so be sure to SAVE THE DATE! For now we hope you enjoy these tiny morsels of goodness!

From all of us here at Pink Paislee “Have A Wonderful Holiday Season!”
