Hello everyone! Karola here with another Studio Inspiration Sketch for you!
Today I invite you to our Get Sketch” y ” challenge! Firstly I would like to show a beautiful sketch and my Layout, which I made on the basis of a Becky Fleck / Page Maps sketch. It’s a fantastic composition, which can be used to create Layouts with each Pink Paislee collection! And I hope you like it, because I would like to invite you to challenge yourself to play along! Create a layout with this sketch, upload your layout (or two?) on Live Pink gallery and linking to your project in this post in comment area.
Easy, huh? So, lets play together! Here is the sketch – beautiful, right?
And here is my Layout, with my daughter, when she was 4 y.o. (it is hard to belive that it was a 2 years ago! Kids growing so fast!).
I combined here 4 Pink Paislee collections: Soiree, Butterfly Garden, Sweetness and Hometown Summer. From each took a bit of both – a cut out elements, banner, clear cards and of course papers. This Lo, is a proof of how versatile are amazing Pink Paislee collections, they can be combined so easily although at first glance, it seems that it is impossible (Butterfly Garden + Soiree!?). With the right products everything is possible! 
I tried to create a version close to the sketch, but as usually happens – the imagination plays tricks and I little changed my first concept. First of all, I added some flowers – I love flowers on layouts, so with great pleasure I cut them from Soiree – Floral paper. I think that the added delicacy to the bright colors.
Look at that butterfly, it seems that just fly away … This is gorgeous wooden butterfly – perfect for alter in any way, but – let me tell you a little tip: when you break his wing a little (very carefully!) then it will look even more lightly and get a lot of dimension! I painted them white acrylic paint and a Chandelier Glam.
Butterflies play an important role here – in addition to wooden butterfly – I used here also vintage butterflies cut out from the Butterfly Garden paper and stamped butterflies using clear stamps from the same collection.
This Lo was a great challenge for me, not only in terms of the sketch but also because of the colors – very rarely I’m working so colorful, but the Soiree collection is so lovely and it’s hard to resist! I ‘m sure you will agree with me.
