Studio Tour Featuring Carole Janson

Our Studio Tours are back and this year we will be showing off the scrap spaces from the newest members of our Design Team!  Right now we are going to take a look into the Studio Space that is occupied by Carole Janson.  At first glance it looks like a complete scrapbook store!  I am pretty sure I could camp out here for  a while just to admire all of the products she has on display.  One of the first things I noticed as I looked into this space was how fun it is that  Carole has infused so much color into her “white space.”  We also love those custom shelves.

About Carole’s Studio:

I have waited so long to get a space just for me, and I finally have it, I have been in my Scraproom for about a year now and I absolutely love it, it is my little hideaway.

This is a photo of my scraproom just before I unpacked all my stash, that was the best day.

Here it is now full lol !! I am still pitching myself, this is my work station well that is what Mike calls it, I have everything open, because I love to see everything, and I find I work better that way. I have an air conditioner, intercom, phone, TV on either side of the desk, and of course internet yipee, and yes it is all from a Shed, I get 1/4 of this huge shed that now occupies our backyard, Mike (Hubby) was so wonderful, he has done so much work on this for me.

I had my gorgeous work station and my paper shelves made by a local cabinet maker which I absolutely love.

My ceiling is really really high in my scraproom, so there is plenty of air and light, just love it. As you can see plenty of space to put all my boxes and projects.

My desk has two sides to it with the same things such as TV’s, power and lighting and internet, there is also enough room in my scraproom for a small table in the middle if needed.

Now here you can see my wonderful, wonderful paper shelves I just love them they are unreal, couldn’t ask for anything better, and just above the shelves is my Peg board which holds all my products, and I love it because I can see everything I own, and what I need when making a project.

I love my cake stand it holds all my flowers, buttons and brads, just too cute, and because the tins have a magnetic back, they hold really well onto the cake stand.

I also have a shelve/ribbon holder which is amazing and holds all my stamps, paints ribbons and some of my flowers.

Mike also tinted my windows to stop fading of my products and projects which was a wonderful idea.

Well I hope you liked checking out my Scraproom, I am definitely loving it!

Let’s Get To Know Carole:

What is the one word that describes your scrapbook style and why? Dimensional – Because nothing I create is flat, I love to create something that you want to touch, and stands out with plenty of layers.

What inspires you to get creative? New Products for sure, new pattern papers, embellishments, they are just so beautiful I can’t wait to get scrapping and just have fun.

What is your favorite Pink Paislee product right now? I am loving the Pattern Papers.  They are just so beautiful and they give me so many options to be creative, but I would also have to say all the new embellishments are just stunning, so to be honest I can’t just pick one product, I find Pink Paislee is always so very different that’s what I love the most.

What is something you consider a guilty pleasure? Eating a block of chocolate while scrapping as long as possible !!

What is playing on your ipod? Pink, Gwen Steffani and Michael Jackson.

What is the one thing no one would know about you? I get really really nervous on airplanes, but I still fly.

Name one thing that is on your “bucket list” for the future? I would love to run a Marathon (maybe one day) still in training.
