Hot Hues (a spring color palette)…

Happy Spring! I don’t know about you, but I’m SO happy that Spring has finally arrived here in New York! Away with the snow, please!  Today we have a happy, colorful combo for you to try, isn’t it scrumptious?

I made 2 cards based on these colors and just adore how they turned out. I hope you like them!

The first is a banner birthday card. I used the pin as my banner holder and found some tiny wooden spools from the craft store to add onto the banner, something fun and different! I took the long banner stickers and folded them over the pin.

I used the Soiree stamp set to stamp some images on the side and a little saying on the ticket.

Supplies used on the Banner card:

Pink background: Daily Junque – Map paper

Banner stickers and pin: Soiree – Flags

Twine: Daily Junque – Twine

Stamps: Soiree – Clear Stamps

Ticket: Parisian Anthology – Tickets

Other: small wooden spools – craft supply, ink – Hawaiian Shores, True Black, and Raspberry Fizz by Papertrey Ink.

Next, I turned a large banner chipboard piece upside down to create a birthday hat card. I covered the chipboard with patterned paper, added a sticker in the center and cut the bottom of the card into a scallop.

I used the tissue paper to create some fun fringe on the top of the hat and as a bottom border.

Supplies used on the Party Hat card:

Paper: Soiree – Diamond, Soiree – Printed sheets (tissue paper)

Sticker: Soiree – Dimensional Stickers

Pin: Soiree – Flags

Twine: Soiree – Twine

Other: button from my stash, large chipboard banner – Jenni Bowlin.

I can’t wait to see YOUR take on this pretty color combination! Be sure to post your creations in our Live Pink Gallery!

So pleased I found your blog through Altered Arts Magazine on their FB fan page. I had to make a featurette of your party hat card (I’m partial to triangular cards, you see) on my website PaperMood.com, I hope that’s ok ? X Fab
