Hi everyone!
I’m here to share a mixed media piece with you this week. I am a huge mixed media fan and when I see a new class I can’t resist signing up, especially when it sounds as amazing as Christy Tomlinson’s She Art Workshop. I just finished the course and it was one of the best I’ve ever taken (which says a lot since I have taken quite a few of them.)
I’ve created a few “she art” pieces during Christy’s class and I wanted to share them with you. Since I wasn’t very sure if I would do a good job, I did my very first girl in my art journal (I write text on the left side which is why it’s empty.):
Now that I’d practiced a bit, I was ready to move to another piece. This time, I tried to create a whole scene and had a lot of fun with my girl:
As you can see, except for some generic stamps and rubons, both pieces only use Pink Paislee products. The bright colors and shapes in our papers make them perfect for mixed media pieces. On this canvas I mixed papers from the Hometown Summer, Daily Junque and Soiree collections.
Because SHE IS amazing; Christy has offered to give away not one but TWO seats to our Pink Paislee blog readers. She is giving away one seat in She Art Workshop (starts April 11) and one seat in her brand new She Had Three Hearts Workshop (starts May 23). Christy is an amazing teacher; these workshops have detailed videos that go through her process step by step and I have already signed up for her second class. I cannot recommend them enough.

I also took Christy’s workshop and I agree with you: it was one of the best I’ve ever taken in mixed media! I loved it! I’ve done six girls, I’ll make the final one at the weekend. I LOVE your GIRLS!!!!!!!!! They are so stinkin cute! I, too, took this class and to say it’s my favorite class ever is an understatement. There are 4 of us taking the class and we are putting together a retreat for her next class. I can paint! Who knew! I sure didn’t!

The She Art Workshop by Christy was so much fun. I loved every minute of it. I watched the first week in one day. Thats how addicting it is. I can’t what for new workshop, “She Had Three Hearts” to start.
