Hi everyone! Roree here, and I have this month’s Hot Hues to share with you.
Isn’t it lovely!? It is a soft and pretty color palette that works just perfectly with the Butterfly Garden collection.
I was so inspired by the flower in the inspiration photo that I decided to make some.
My mom’s birthday is coming up soon, so I thought I would go with the ‘mom’ theme and make her a little bucket of flowers. I saw some similar wire flowers in a craft book, and I just had to try them for myself. I created the flowers and butterfly from floral wire.
For each one, I used one long piece of wire,, and I did a lot of shaping and wrapping and curling. I then cut some small squares of patterned paper (slightly larger than the petals/wings) from the Butterfly Garden 6×6 Paper Pack, and stitched the paper to the wired with embroidery thread.
I added a small button to the center of each with Twine.
Lastly, I decorated a small bucket/pail with a little acrylic paint, some Hometown Summer Border Stickers, Twine, and Letter Stickers.
Pink Paislee supplies used:
- Butterfly Garden – 6×6 Paper Pack 00444
- Hometown Summer – Border Stickers 00466
- Sweetness – 12×12 Alphabet Stickers
The wire was really easy to use, and the flowers/butterfly shapes were pretty quick to put together. The stitching took quite a bit more time, but I think the outcome was well worth the effort.
Now it’s time for you to get out your Pink Paislee products, and play along. And don’t forget to post your creations in the Live Pink gallery. We all would love to see what you create!
Hope you have a wonderful week. Thanks so much for stopping by!
