Mist Mania: Having some fun!

Happy Monday Everyone!!!  Hoped you guys had a great weekend and are all set to take on the week!  Today, I’ll be sharing with you guys various misting techniques that I used this create this fun layout for my sister.  But before else, did you guys know that for the Daily Junque and Soiree Collections - Pink Paislee & Tattered Angels have partnered together to create a fun mini set of mist, glam and glaze that work perfectly with the collections.

The colors included for the Soiree collection are…Mist Colors: Marigold & Party Pink, Glam Color: Chandelier and Glaze Color: Waterfall  (more details on the various colors and color samples can be found here).  Aren’t these the yummiest!!!

And for my I layout I used the Party Pink (from the collection) & Silver Sugar glimmer mist colors.  I first started out by splatting a few drops of the Party Pink randomly on the cardstock.  Then using the Silver Sugar mist, I misted the top and bottom bits of the layout to frame my page.  I used another cardstock to cover the area that I didn’t want the mist to get on.

Then using the Party Pink mist again, I mist pieces of the white cardstock to complete my banner details.  For the top banner – to get a solid coat, I did a consistent spray from left to right (spraying as I moved my hand from left to right).

I also added some fun flag die cuts (from the Mini Notes & Label embellishment pack) and also used one of the mini note card as the back drop.

And as for the second banner on the bottom of the page, I decided to try another misting method – spraying blots of mist here and there along the strip of cardstock and therefore, creating some white spaces that were perfect to journal on.
