Inspired by…

Hi everyone! Karola here with something inspiring today!

When I got the task of creating a project inspired by something that inspired me recently – it seemed so hard! Everyone has a on their computer a lot of interesting photos and inspirations – which from mine should I choose? In recent times many of us spend the time to inspire by the Pinterest site – admit to – certainly you spend a lot of time there (like me!)?! It was there that I found photo of very inspirational board – its stunning!

Source: Johanna’s blog via Pinterest

The old frame and  a whole lot of wonders inside – photos, notes, favorite things. Lots of layers and beautiful shabby chic chaos – I decided to make something like this! And voila: here it is:

Here I used a wooden shadowbox, but because it was too modern – I wanted to give it a rustic look. I used corrugated cardboard acquired from the old cardboard box – I cut it into narrow strips and carelessly painted white with acrylic paint. Cardboard strips imitate here quite interesting frame. This is a very easy way to create your own frame, when we do not have wooden frame.

Inside I created several layers of beautiful Buterfly Garden and Daily Junque die cuts, I added a picture of my daughter – Rose, and a black plate, on which I wrote her name. The whole is a message for her – here and there appear accent to be related to her  - rose die cut, and the words addressed to her.

Using the beautiful die cuts to create such a frame/shadowbox is very simple and does not take much time – we can create any number of layers and put any favorite things, complete freestyle!

If you feel inspired by this amazing photo and my little project – feel free to create your own Inspirational Board!
