October Contest Winner {Congratulations Jennifer Snyder}

Congratulations To Jennifer Snyder the winner of our October Phantom Decor Contest!  Jennifer just blew us away with her Skeletons In The Closet themed project.  Not only was her project cleverly named and themed but we adored her use of our products.  The clear frames, the papers and of course the happy haunting banner kit all make an appearance within this spooky box of treasures.  Look closely to see all of the miniature skeletons and trinkets!  Jennifer we are not sure what Skeletons might actually be hanging in your closet but we do know you will have an extra $50 to spend at Amazon.com!

Mix It Up: Phantom & Twilight

Hey everyone!  Roree here, and today’s post is all about mixing a little past with the present:  Phantom & Twilight.  Twilight is still one of my favorite Halloween collections, and I was so happy to bring it back out and pair it with some of the fun papers and embellishments from the Phantom collection.

When I think of Halloween, I think of treats.  I thought it would be fun to create a cupcake box.  I used my Cricut Expression and Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge to create the box.  I used patterned paper from the Twilight collection.

I then dressed up the roof line with the ‘Spooky’ sticker from the Phantom collection.

I just love this font!

Next, I created some ghosts using my Cricut Expression and Happy Hauntings cartridge, and patterned papers from both Phantom and Twilight.

I placed one ghost inside and one outside of the box.

Lastly, I created a couple pumpkins using my Cricut Expression and Mini Monsters cartridge.  I used Phantom papers and brads.

So, are you ready for Halloween?  If not, better get moving!  ;)   And if you are still doing some creating before Monday,  don’t forget pull out your older Halloween collections and mix them with the new ones.  It will make them go a lot further.

Hope you all have a Happy (and safe) Halloween!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Four not-too-scary photos

Hi Pink Paislee fans! It’s me Karola again. This time I want to share a layout I created using our beautiful Phantom collection, but in a non-Halloween theme. Ok, maybe a little bit… ;)

I believe that in every woman there is a little bit of a witch personality. I hope this is not a controversial opinion. Just remember all these nervous times when you simply go out of ourselves, we have totally enough of everything, nerves to bear us, and we are really horrible! Although on a daily basis we are quite nice and gentle ladies! I too have these days, and sometimes I feel really like a witch! My task for today was: make a Lo with four photos. Unfortunately, I don’t have any scary photos of me, I have nothing of what would be in Halloween theme, so I used quite ordinary photos – without a crooked witch nose, no pimples or scars, even without botox! But I decided to add some funny accents on photos and next to them. Thanks to Phantom collection it was very easy! See how you can easily create an “about me” layout with a great sense of black humor and distance to yourself!

I decided to add a one more color to this Halloween palette to make it a little bit different and unique. Used Mistables paper as a background with a “broken china” distress ink and a few Mistables Alphas. I love this color combination! I used here some of Phantom – Clear Transparent Frames, they are absolutely perfectly clear and very thick, so you can use it on your photos!

How do I add a little femininity to my LO – flowers are the best! You can use these from Phantom – Banner Kit.

Announcing: The {Inspired Journey} Event

A few months ago I got an email from Teresa Collins asking me if I would like to teach at her Inspired Journey Event in California in 2012 and I think I replied “YES”  before I even finished reading her email! One of the main reasons I decided to participate is because I admire both Teresa and Sande (the other 2 teachers) and because I have always heard such great things about the Inspiration Unlimited events that are hosted by Ginger Nelson and Teresa Collins every year in Las Vegas!  Inspiration Unlimited 2012 is already SOLD OUT so they have added a smaller more intimate event in California.

Here are some details about this amazing event from the Teresa Collins Blog:

“Inspired Journey”

Manhattan Beach, California – May 18th and 19th, 2012

Teresa Collins & Friends

A Mini Inspiration Unlimited

A Weekend Filled with Inspiration, Creativity, and Friendship

Manhattan Beach Marriott – Manhattan Beach, California

This event will be truly Inspirational!  We wanted to offer an event without the frills, and get down to the basics of what we love… creating and being inspired by some amazing teachers and manufacturers.  Your weekend will be filled with four amazing workshops, time to meet up with friends and make new ones. You know there will be a surprise or two. Guaranteed!

Those on the waiting list for Inspiration Unlimited 2012 will have the first option to attend this “mini” event.  Registration will begin October 27th 2011.  Ginger will send out invites to the first 100 people on the waiting list. Yes, there are only 100 spots at Inspired Journey. This event is smaller and very intimate. The focus will be on the workshops and creating.

I know that you will not be disappointed in the workshops and the locations.  We are thrilled to be planning a “mini” event in 2012 and grateful it will allow more crafters the opportunity to attend. Thank you Pink Paislee and 7 Gypsies and Teresa Collins Designs for sponsoring our FIRST “journey.”

Teaching at this event:

Teresa Collins (Teresa Collins Designs)

Sande Kreiger (7gypsies)

Rebecca Cross (Pink Paislee)

If you are interested in getting on the waiting list please send an email to Ginger at: [email protected]

If you plan on attending this event we will see you in California next May!

Hot Hues Color Inspiration October

Hi there! It’s Mona Pendleton here today as a Guest on the Pink Paislee blog. Today I have the fun October Hot hues inspiration graphic for you:

Such an awesome color palette that coordinates wonderfully with the Phantom collection!

Although the Phantom collection contains many products that may be used to create projects year round, I was inspired by this fab graphic to create a Halloween mini album that is jam packed with Phantom goodness.

Starting with the cover, I stamped a few images using Phantom – Clear Stamps above and below a ticket  shaped sticker from Phantom – Element Stickers:

The Phantom – Element Stickers pack contains so many spooktacular stickers! The page shown below features another ticket shaped sticker and a stamped cameo image:

I embellished this page featuring my step daughter Meredith with a home made rosette made using a piece of Phantom Pattern Paper – Apparition featuring a beautiful brad from Phantom – Brads and a piece of black lace from Vintage Vogue – Ribbon Trim:

Lovin’ the variety of patterns from the Mistables – 12 x 12 Paper and how easily color may be added, making them totally customizable for ANY project. The page below features an inked green “honey comb” patterned Mistables paper with a fun image from Phantom – Clear Stamps:

I made a little sentiment banner by stamping the Creepy image from Phantom – Clear Stamps on a piece of Claudine Hellmuth’s sticky back canvas:

Having a blast creating with Mistables – 12 x 12 Paper, I die cut this Spooky house, painted the pieces then stitched them on the page and topped it off with the HAUNTED sticker from Phantom – Element Stickers:

Lastly, this page features the ornate large SPOOKY sticker from Phantom – Element Stickers:

LOVE how the black acrylic paint makes the beautiful embossed patterns on the Mistables – 12 x 12 Paper pop:

Remember the Phantom collection contains many products that may be used to create projects year round making it another versatile Pink Paislee collection!

I hope you enjoyed my project today and are inspired to play with the October Hot hues colors! Looking forward to seeing what you create! Please remember to link your project here and upload it to the Live Pink Gallery as well.
