meet our 2012 creative team

We are so excited to share this news on our blog today!  As we approach the new year here in the US we are thinking about the year ahead and all the fabulous things we have in store for our retailers, customers and Live Pink fans!  We are working on a new website, prepping the paint for our first showroom / outlet store located in Kansas City, and we are busy developing new products for both the scrapbooking industry as well as the stationary market!  We are BUSY and we love it that way; but being busy means we need help showing off our products to the world. That is why we decided to hold our first Creative Team call in over 2 years. We knew it would be difficult to choose and we weren’t wrong; the entries were all amazing and for the first time ever we even had 2-3 gentlemen scrappers apply. Of course we ended up going way over our original target of 15 members but sometimes rules are made to be broken!

It is fabulous to see what scrapbooking means to so many people all across the world; to all those who applied to our team we want to say “thank you for opening your hearts and sharing your creativity with us!”

I know everyone is anxious to hear the news and we are anxious to “spread the word” so without further ado please…

Please help us welcome these new members to our team and if you want to learn more about each designer you can visit their blogs by clicking the links to the right of this page under “pink links.” This amazing team will be led by our very own Danielle Flanders and over the next few weeks we will be getting a little more personal with each member right here on our blog – so make plans to join us as we get down to the details in 2012.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ALL OF US HERE AT PINK PAISLEE

Snow Day Fabric Transfers

Last week we spotted this project on Lowri McNabb’s blog and we were…..SO HAPPY to discover it! Lowri had some serious creative urges when she used our Snow Day Digital Kits to create fabric transfers for this amazing gift bag set. This is a real testament to the power of digital kits!  Now that our products are also available in a digital format you have the power to print on all types of surfaces.  We got permission from Lowri to show these projects to you so here goes:

from lowri:

I loved this Snow Day Collection from Pink Paislee as soon as I saw it, however since it is summer here in New Zealand – there weren’t any stores who had it in stock!  Fortunately for me it is NOW available as a digital kit over at JessicaSprague.com (which by the way is having a 35% off sale until 12/31/11) so I downloaded it in an instant!

I created this little fabric bag by printing one of the digital designs from the Snow Day Paper Pack onto fabric and using two of the digital elements to add a little extra interest.  All you have to do is open a digital sheet of paper in a layered program like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements and then drag a few of the digital tags over the top of the paper pattern.  Then you can print that new image directly onto the fabric paper.

Inside the bag are two little tops for a newborn baby to snuggle in – and I have decorated those too as you will see below:

Using more designs from the digital papers (which I was able to scale down to a smaller pattern size) I created some simple designs and put them onto the t-shirts using transfer paper.

I also used the “Snuggle” digital element to add a little label in the back of the shirts after removing the original labels that came on the t-shirts. How perfect is that??

I wish my kids were still small enough to fit this tiny t-shirt; they are so adorable!  I hope these ideas encourage you to think “outside of the box” when it comes to digital scrapbook supplies; because they can be used for projects that have nothing to do with scrapbooking at all!
