Quotes {Mixing Fonts}

Hi guys, Steph here for my first blog post with Pink Paislee, and I want to share a love of mine, mixing typeography.

For this project, I started with a favourite rub-on, and decided to mix it with Pink Paislee’s gorgeous Wood Shop Letters.  This is how the project turned out …..

I’m always amazed how the mixing of classic and modern fonts work so well together.  They add movement on your page and also add an interesting twist on the style of your project.  The size of the different fonts also adds interest, and contrasts each others form and appearance.

For the above word “life”, I have inked the wood letters, dried them off with a heat tool, and then given them a light spray of Glimmer Mist.  It’s amazing how easy they are to alter and how wonderful they look.

Pink Paislee Supplies Used:

Other Supplies Used:

  • Rub-On Quote (Kaisercraft)
  • Round the Page Punch (Martha Stewart)
  • Tiny Flowers
  • Chalkboard Glimmermist “Charcoal”
  • Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap)

Thanks for stopping by to view my post today, I hope it has inspired you to play with classic and elegant fonts in your titles for your projects!
