Quotes {She Art Cards Two Ways}

Hi everyone! It’s Jess here today with a couple of She Art cards using two little inspirational quotes that I love.  So many of the quotes I see come from Pinterest or wall art and they strike me as perfect little bits of inspiration for cards.  Everyone loves getting an uplifting greeting!

I challenged myself to work with the She Art line for these, mostly because this first quote was begging for some eclectic wings.

The Parisian Anthology dress form was the perfect model for the chipboard and scallop trimmed wings.  My quote “Alis volat propriis” is Latin and translates to “She flies with her own wings”.  I find those words both beautiful and inspiring.  I want this card to go to a gal who just needs a smile and some words of encouragement.

I covered the dress form with torn paper strips and gave her a fun twine belt.  The butterfly is also Parisian Anthology with paper and pearls.  I wrapped the “leg” of the form with cut strips of the She Art pattern paper… so right for a dress form!

I also rolled a couple of spiral flowers to balance the green on the butterfly and cut the leaves from the floral patterned paper.

With the large piece of vintage crocheted lace and all the romantic, feminine touches this card feels really warm and sweet.  My second card has a totally different vibe.  I wanted to do something clean and simple for my second example:

The quote here is “Every day is the start of something beautiful”.  Taken literally I interpreted that as each day beginning with a glorious sunrise.

How COOL are those rub-ons!?  I am loving the pop of black whimsy they added to my sun rays.

So you can see that not only did the quotes I chose make great sentiments all on their own, but they also inspired the actual card design.  They were excellent starting out points.  Keep checking back this week for more great quote inspiration for all your projects!
