Being a Mom…

Hello everyone, Karola here with another Mother’s Day inspiration for you!

“Being a Mom is a Gift” – this is a title of my today’s layout featuring my daughter. I decided to create another sweet and shabby page about the greatest and most precious gift in my life – motherhood. This changed my life so much and when Rose was born I was (and still I am) unbelievable happy… So because I can’t create a gift for my Mom, I made a gift for myself, I will frame this page and hang it on the wall:

This time I combined the most feminine collections in our newest release: Spring Jubilee and London Market. It seems that’s a perfect couple to create sweet, detailed, layered and of course shabby chic projects. As usually you can find on my page lots of layers which I created used lots of Pink Paislee new embellies: Chipboard Buttons (love the posibility of coloring them in any way!), Ephemera cut outs – perfect details which I LOVE hiding here and there; Press Ons – the tiny pieces, you can’t find it at first sight but believe me,  it’s important detail on this layout! Finally Chipboard pieces – I really love to decorate my page with lots of chipboard and tiny embellies – I usually stick them using 3d foam squares (3mm thick) to make a very dimensional look and that’s what I made this time:

I created my title using 3 type of Pink Paislee alphabets: the older Expressions Cushies – Meringue (still love it and as you can see – even “w” may be “m” if you need it to be!), the wooden letters from Wood Shop Alphabet – Timber made my “gift” word – I painted them white acrylic paint and put lots of liquid pearls dots on the top. The newest, sweet and tiny Spring Jubilee – Bitty Blocks letters completed my title in a beautiful, delicate way.

Here you can see lots of layers made using so many various Pink Paislee embellies. Additionally, I cut out some stunning motifs from the Spring Jubilee papers (flowers, bird on a branch and a vintage little girl). Then I cut out a few leaves using die cut machine and some decorated circles using punches. The cherries on the top are tiny butterflies from Spring Jubilee – Chipboard pack and the London Market – Spool Buttons – these are so stunning, perfect for creating eclectic pages, like this one. It’s very easy to create combining fresh and modern embellies with gorgeous vintage style additions -if you have some Pink Paislee products. I love the way how the styles can be easily mixed!
