I am a lifelong artist and crafter. I grew up in a home full of arts and crafts supplies and a couple of very creative parents. I love all types of crafts but find my true crafting passion in papercrafts, ribbonwork, and sewing. I love to combine elements of all three into my projects.
Being a guest designer for Pink Paislee feels a bit like coming home. Many years ago, one of my very first design teams was with the online store Create My Keepsake where I became friends with Rebecca and Barry. Later when they launched Pink Paislee I was honored to be their very first design team coordinator. It has been a real thrill to watch Pink Paislee grow over the years and offer amazing collections year after year.
In addition to being a previous member of the Pink Paislee team, I regularly do design work for Tim Holtz and Ranger Ink and am the Design Team and Community Coordinator for Sizzix. I also teach classes in store and online and am an avid blogger.
When I am not creating, I am a wife and mother of three who loves anything and everything shabby, chippy, and vintage. I love to scour flea markets for old treasures. I am also a fair weather gardener so if the spring breezes are blowing, you will probably find me playing in the dirt in my flower garden.
Tammy’s Creations For Pink Paislee:
Wonderful Life Mini Album
Stamping & Collage Sheet Close Up
“Later this year I will be taking a dream vacation to Italy. I thought the London Market collection had just the feel I wanted to include in a mini book about my trip. I created my book using the Sizzix Eileen Hull Scoreboards Photo Album die.
I embellished the cover with a matboard frame covered with the London Market Collage Sheets and embellished it with London Market Clear Stamps and the Jumbo Numbers.
Inside I created pages following the same formula. Because the size of each page is small, I left a small space for a bit of journaling and a small photo. Each page has a Jumbo Number to indicate the day of the trip. The book isn’t meant to be a comprehensive review of the whole trip, but rather a quick review of it. I plan to include something from each day that I thought was wonderful.”
515 Shadowbox Frame

“When I first saw the London Market collection I knew immediately that I wanted to create a decor piece for my foyer. The colors match the room perfectly and the rose print coordinates with with some vintage sheet music cover art that I have framed.
I decided to recover an open front shadowbox frame with the Addington patterned paper. I covered the inside back with the Mayfair patterned paper. For the inside, I layered cotton batting, a torn and inked piece of Curiosities pattern paper, and a Collage Sheet.
I embellished the front of Collage Sheet with markers, Jumbo numbers (515 is my house number), a vintage photo of my house, and a Spool Button that has a vintage key tied to it.
Sunshine Matboard Frame
Sunshine Frame Close Up
“I created this small matboard mini frame (created with the Sizzix Eileen Hull Frame and Frame Back with Stand Die) with pattern papers from the Indigo Bleu collection. The sunshiny yellows in this collection made me happy so I thought it was the perfect choice for a small desk frame to feature a favorite photo of my daughter.
To embellish the frame, I chose to mix Indigo Bleu Boutique Flair buttons, Bitty Blocks, and Border Stickers with a Chipboard Pop kite and Shipping Tag from the Prairie Hill collection. I couldn’t resist the tag that said “my little sunshine” since that is exactly what my little girl is to me.
To add extra dimension to my finished project, I adhered the assembled center cluster of embellishments with adhesive foam squares.
We Must Say:
Tammy ROCKS! It is true what she said about “coming home” – we have known Tammy for the past 6 years (maybe even a little longer) and we have always been a huge fan of her design style. We are honored to feature her work here today on our blog.
We love her “attention to detail” – the vintage pins, just the perfect amount of stitching, and of course all the ways she can make a piece of paper look shabby and vintage! You might have caught Tammy teaching with our products or maybe even working in our booth at CHA. I guess it is safe to say….we are BIG FANS!
Thank you Tammy for sharing your love for paper crafting with all of us. To learn more about Tammy and to visit her blog CLICK HERE. Tell her we said hello and enjoy the inspiration while you are there!
