Portfolio Week: Perfect for a Nautical Theme

Hi Pink Paislee Fans, I hope you have enjoyed our Portfolio week and you have been inspired to use this versatile collection.  I will be wrapping up the week with my take on the gorgeous Portfolio collection.  I love to create a beach themed layout, so when I knew my assisgnment was using the Portfolio collection, I thought this collection would be perfect to relate to the beach.  It’s muted tones and fun elements helped me to create this page.   Here is my layout, “Explore”.

I started my design with a scraping of Gesso in a diagonal direction.  From then on, I knew where I wanted my design and picture to sit.  I built up my photo mat by distressing and layering different papers over each other.  I love how the Photo frame has framed my photo with the picture sticking out from either side.   I then built up my shell embellishment cluster and used the Color Shine collection to bring them to life.  I used a large Artisan Word as my title.

I tucked in a Photo Tab under my photo to add to my layered look.

I also added some of the cute elements and words out of the Ephemera pack.  I layered these with foam tape to add dimension to my page.

I tore and distressed papers and added them to my edges along with more Ephemera.

Here is just one last angled shot of my page just so you can see the dimension in it.

Thank you for sharing in our Portfolio creations this week, and I hope you have as much fun with your Portfolio collection as much as I did.
