This month’s Color Crush inspiration board is quite simply lovely. There’s something soft, yet modern, about adding a touch of gray to shades of pink. And I must admit that I’ve been holding back on scrapping these photos of my daughter *just* so I could use this line!
I went for a classic giant heart design using Secret Crush:
Secret Crush is so packed full of little bits of goodies I got a little carried away. I started with a heart “drawn” with silver pen, twine, and stitching, clustered my photos, and then went to town with ephemera, fussy cutting, and Artisan Elements.
I added a little ruffle of Mistables scalloped trim for softness. I also really appreciate that the Artisan words are so flexible, which made it possible for me to bend my title around the curve of the heart.
I wanted a lot of texture to define the heart. I built up from flat stickers to pop dotted bits of cut paper to chipboard, and then the bulkier flowers. It’s all so girly for my sweet baby! These colors absolutely make me happy. Thanks for taking a peek today at my little valentine!
