Hello, Pink Paislee fans! You are in for a treat this week. We have new designers, a new Color Crush color combination, and a new line by Pink Paislee called Secret Crush … what a combination! Have a peek at our Color Crush for January, isn’t this scrumptious?
Personally, the Secret Crush line is one of my all time favorites by Pink Paislee. The colors, patterns and fun products from the line make it so easy to work with and layer to your heart’s content! I’ve create a little mini album to show you today. The base is created with only TWO pieces of 12 x 12″ cardstock, so for less than $2 you have a mini album base!
To create the base, I simply took 2 pieces of 12 x 12″ cardstock from the Secret Crush line and cut them in half, so I had 4 pieces of 6 x 12″ cardstock. Then I folded these 4 pieces in half again and laid all the folded pieces together. This created 8 pages for my mini album. (16 if you count front and back!) The corners were rounded to add softness.
On the front cover, I’ve added a strip of black polkadot washi tape, a Secret Crush Photo Frame, a Secret Crush Photo Tab at the top and some ephemera from the Paper Goods package. The chipboard hearts are from the Artisan collection and are swiped with gray ink with my finger, bringing out the neat chevron design! As you can see, I added machine stitching to the tab, just an extra detail. The details are what I love!
Let me show you some of the inside pages…
Here I used the First Kiss paper and added a Photogram with some other fun goodies…a cut out word from one of the text papers that says, “forever”. I used it at the top as a little tab. The Photograms are perfect to slide a photo into. Just adhere the sides and bottom, and it’s ready. You can add a photo later by sliding it in from the top.
On another page, I’ve used the Heartbeat Paper and made my own vellum pocket. I added some punched vellum shapes and more of the Paper Goods ephemera pieces.
Next up is a pocket page made from the Love Notes paper and the gray Polka Dance Paper. I also used the Element Stickers on this page with some washi tape. You can add photos, love notes, memorabilia, etc. inside the pocket. You can create a notch with a 2″ circle punch by punching half way into the top of the pocket.
I made a little flag myself with washi tape and a pin and tucked it under the sticker.
Here I used the Photo Frame as a sideways tab hanging off the edge of my page. It is adhered with a quick staple.
Another pocket made of vellum and framed out with a Photo Frame! (Gah, I think I’m in love with these Photo Frames!) Again you could add a photo inside or whatever you’d like. To make the pocket, just fold a piece of vellum in half the size of the frame and adhere the side and bottom of the pocket. Cover with a frame. Insert fun arrows.
I used a Photogram on this page backed with patterned paper and hung it with washi tape and twine.
OK, I better stop there…too many pictures for one post! Thank you for stopping by, and be sure to grab this gorgeous Secret Crush line at your local scrapbook shops! You can see all of our Secret Crush products under the “Product” tab above.
