Christin here with my first projects to inspire you. I have created a matching layout and card using the Secret Crush collection, using a new sketch by Valerie Salmon from Got Sketch.
Anyone who knows me knows about my love for three things when it comes to scrapbooking: white cardstock, stencils and sketches, so why not give you all three.
I started up with a white cardstock, and then I like to play with stencils and for this layout I have pulled out my old Silhouette to make two stencils – hearts and chevron. I used different inks with my stencils. I usually fill out most of the middle with stencils without having a full planned page in mind. (This time I ended up nearly filling up the whole inked spaced…)
I used the same hearts as for the stencils, but bigger for the heart garlands. used some washi tape to hold the hearts together and then sewed over and removed the washi tape.
Here are a few closeups of the garland, colored Artisan butterfly and use of stencils.
While I waiting for the Color Shine droplets to dry, I made a matching card using the same sketch and just changing it a little mixing both 6×6 papers with 12×12.
I hope you enjoy my projects and come back later this week for more interpretations of this lovely sketch.
