Truly. Madly. Deeply

Who would have thought when I bought this antique candle tray a few weeks ago, it could turn into a piece of art for my scraproom?
What started out as a simple antique piece quickly became a highlighted creation for my scrapoom wall, featuring my sweet loves, a huge portion of Secret Crush and Artisan; 4 of my favorite things right now!

I used my large circle punch to punch the inside circles for this piece. I had NO idea it was the perfect size until I sat down and started creating.

The soft, beautiful tones of Secret Crush really set off this design. I am a big fan of the color palette. You can build around it or add to it with ease.

trulyclose3wmMy photo fit perfectly and with the added Artisan frame – it really stands out.  I altered each circle to represent my heart.
Making some of the hearts 3D with pop dots is an added touch that I also love, right along with layering embellishments.

trulyclose4wmBy leaving the Artisan chipboard hearts neutral, the writing on them stood out and made my Secret Crush arrow pop from the center.
That banner is perfect for the start of my project.

trulyclose1wmThe Artisan trim is just soft enough to tie it all together.

trulyclosewmI think my favorite part is the little leaves I created using the heart stickers. I also made sure to flick a little glitter off the letters to make them look “aged” somewhat. (I promise..they don’t come that way….)

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today and letting me share my work of “heart” with you.
