Hi, Pink Paislee fans! It’s Jen Kinkade ready to show you how to get messy with some card making!
It’s easy to use Artisan collection products plus your favorite medium–inks, paint, the possibilities are limitless, to create fun and beautiful cards. My choice was to use Heidi Swapp’s Color Shine Spritz to alter papers, trim, and coordinating embellishments.
I mainly used Mint Green, Tropicana Teal, Mustard, and Georgia Peach on the cards below.
As you can see, I created 2 VERY different cards using Artisan papers and embellishments!!
The first card I chose to create is a very soft and elegant card.
I misted the Artisan papers with the Mint Green Color Shine mist then blotted away the excess with a paper towel. I get impatient when I am inking, so a paper towel or other absorbent material helps speed things up! 😉 I also misted the Artisan butterfly embellishment with the same color mist.
I then chose the zig zag Artisan trim to mist with the Georgia Peach Color Shine.
**TIP: one thing I do to lessen the absorption of the mist for a softer look when working with these trims is spraying the trim with water first. I keep a misting bottle of water nearby so I have it handy to use when I mist products! Very convenient!!
I finally chose the remainder of my embellishments to layer on my card.
My next card is a more funky card to celebrate! Fun and sassy!
I used Tropicana Teal, Mint Green, Mustard, and Gold Lame to achieve the overall look.
I started by misting my Artisan scalloped trim as I did above. After I adhered the Artisan Resist-Able hearts to the Artisan grid paper, I sprayed each heart with a different colored mist allowing some of the mist to run to create a “drippy” look. I later went back to flick extra drips to the paper. I secured the trim to the card using my sewing machine.
**TIP: If you have a shipping box from receiving products, that is a good item to use/put items in when misting so you don’t take a chance on misting your desk!! Paper towels or baby wipes are good for cleaning up accidentally misted surfaces.
And that’s it! 2 FUN and different ways to create cards using the Pink Paislee Artisan collection!! Thanks for stopping by!
