Hiya all! Thank you so much for stopping by the Pink Paislee blog today! I am so excited to be here.
Today I wanted to talk with you all about customizing with color. Often times when companies release a collection in a certain paper line, you may feel limited by those colors when you are creating. The truth is, I find it to be a fun challenge to totally change the color palette by just picking one or two colors from several different lines from the same company. This technique combined with fun products from the Artisan Collection can create a unique customized look!
I like to start projects like this with a little color inspiration!
At this point I know I am going to want to work with pink, gold and I want to pull in a little yellow as well. It is one of my FAVORITE color combos of all time, and I love to work with it! I decide to pull the pink from the Secret Crush collection, from there I know that the mustard yellow in the Portfolio collection with match perfectly. To add just a touch of gold I decided to throw in some simple party confetti you can find at your local party supply store. I like to gather all my elements first to see exactly how they will all go together. I always pull more than I may use, but this is where the inspiration really comes to life so it is better to have too much, rather than too little.. am I right?!
When you gather products in such a fun way, how can you not be inspired?
To customize our color even further I am going to grab some Heidi Swapp Color Shine! I really enjoyed mixing the Georgia Peach with the Primrose! If you try it, let me know if you love it as much as I do!
I ended up just having a lot of fun playing with this color combo on my layout. I also took the idea from the original inspiration piece of using circles. Circles are such an easy shape to work with on your page since they just flow from one side of the picture to the other so easily.
I hope you find yourself inspired to customize with color to create a unique look all your own!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a creative day! xox-
