Faber-Castell: Blending with Gelatos

Welcome to our last day of the Faber-Castell and Pink Paislee blog hop. What a ton of inspiration this week! Mixed media is really hot right now, and these products are perfect to use with Pink Paislee’s papers and chipboard to create your own artistic look.

The Gelatos by Faber-Castell were so much fun to work with. They almost feel like putting lipstick on your paper, they go on so smooth and are very blendable with your finger right over Pink Paislee’s Artisan paper, which you can customize to any color you need. I used the Metallic Gelatos Colors on my two cards, and they are so shiny and pretty. You get 4 colors in the package. Here you can see my process where I swiped the color on and then just blended it with my finger.

You can also use the Gelatos on chipboard as well, like the Artisan chipboard by Pink Paislee. This chipboard has a raised embossed effect, so the Gelatos will color in the rest and the raised design as you see here on the star will resist the color.

Here is my finished card mixing Pink Paislee products with the Faber-Castell Gelatos pens. I used the Hope Chest and Artisan lines by Pink Paislee, some of the Gold Luxe Alphas, seam binding and a few gems for sparkle.

On the second card, I used another Gelato pen on the heart chipboard, and the foil on the heart resisted the color. Love the gold and teal together!

I mixed Pink Paislee’s Hope Chest cards, Hope Chest Butterflies, Artisan Elements (frame and photo corner) and Chipboard Hearts.
