Hi! I’m Stephanie and I live in North Carolina with my husband and two adorable children. I love all things creative and have a slight obsession with paper and photography. It’s safe to say that I play with paper way more than any adult should!! I started out with memory keeping through Project Life in 2011 and have not looked back yet. My style is simple, but classic with occasional fun pops of color.
I am so excited to be a guest designer with Pink Paislee today! Thank you all so much for having me!! I truly loved playing around with the new “Hey Kid” collection! The colors are so fun and vibrant! It was just as happy as could be as I flipped through the papers and embellishments!
Stephanie’s pink paislee designs: featuring Hey Kid:
1 Cool Boy Layout: I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous “Hula Hoop” paper and knew I wanted to use it vertically along my layout with my title centered in the white space. I decided to create a page about my son, who I think is “1 cool boy”. I had so much fun finding the perfect photos and embellishments to add to the paper. And I love that the circles are cut out so you could see the little bit of white in between each circle!
Hey Girl Layout: The “Hey Kid” collection has so many fun circle embellishments and I wanted to try to highlight those on one page. To keep the circle trend going on my layout, I used mists and my sewing machine to make some circles on my background. I added the photo of my daughter in black and white to help the colors pop.
Love layout: When I originally started this layout, I had an idea of adding triangles all over the page. It got a little busy since there are so many different colors and patterns that I decided to layer them over one another and create a diagonal band across my page. I typed my journaling with my typewriter and then added my words and a few of the fun “Hey Kid” stickers along the band. I love how all the little bits and pieces coordinate so well!!
You Are So Fabulous layout: I love this picture of my husband and daughter reading in her room and it was the first thing I thought of when i found the “you are so fabulous” vellum card. For this page, I decided to stick mostly with black and white with a few pops of color here and there! That’s what’s so great about this collection! It is so totally versatile and fun!!
Wow Stephanie…your bold and graphic style is definitely eye catching and inspiring.
