Christin here. This week’s theme is 4 or more photos, and I plan to show you a few tips on how to have multiple pictures in a row. I will also give you a little photo editing advice.
There are a few colors in the palette that I am a little afraid to use, and I never stock up on materials in these colors. Violet and purple are two of them, but since my 4 year old loves the colors – I just have to give in and scrap using those colors.
I have an older version of Photoshop, but I am to lazy to try and learn and use the full potential of that program, so I am using the free program Photoscape. I use Combine and choose four different pictures, you will see how they line up underneath with these smaller versions.
To have the pictures side by side – choose side and add a high number for the outer margin and interval of photos to have white lines around the pictures. Then save. You might also want to slide the resize ratio a little lower. so the whole combined picture isn’t too big. You can also change the color of the margin. I prefer white.
My other phototip shows you that it is a really good idea to rotate the picture a little when editing the pictures and crop it tighter. Here you will see the difference with the four pictures in an uncropped and untilted version, and you will see the difference with the cropped and tilted version. You don’t have to rotate it so much, just a little to add a little fun.
Here you see all four unedited:
Here are the edited version.
Here are some more closeups of the layout.
For the background on this page, I have used clear gesso, a waterbrush and dropped some mist.
