Cyber Monday: Inspiring Backgrounds

CyberMonday_headerHi all! Donna here for this week’s Cyber Monday post. For my page, I will show you how I used one of the Pink Paislee cutting files for my background as well as some tips how to recolor the digital stamps. There are several ways to create this background I did on my page. I will show one using the Blending Mode method.

Open a paper for your background (I used Color Wash paper on mine). Then open the “Word Collage” cutting file and import it to your editing software (I am using CS3).

Make sure that the cutting file layer is on top of the paper, as seen in the image below. Change the Blending Mode of the cutting file into “Overlay”. I also added a very subtle drop shadow on the cutting file layer to make it visible a little bit.

Another thing I did is changing the color of some digital stamps I used in my page. Just follow the steps shown below to recolor any digital stamp you like to use in your projects.

12Try changing the color by slightly sliding the indicators in each channel, do this until you achieve your preferred shade.

These are the techniques I used to create this page of my little fashionista niece…

Thanks and have a great day!

Supplies used: Color Wash 12×12 paper pack, Word Collage cutting file, Hey Kid digital papers and elements, Sentiment Series stamps
