The Style File: Speech Bubbles!

Good day!  Tegan here with my take on the growing trend of “speech bubbles.”  They are showing up all over the scrapbooking world in patterned papers, cut files, chipboard- you name it.  I decided that the the speech bubble trend would be perfect on a layout showcasing my sister’s love for her smartphone.  And the Switchboard collection was the perfect match for this!  The fabulous large speech bubble was made using one of the Pink Paislee Chat Bubbles Cut Files.   Which allowed me to scale it up to a larger size…super fun!  Just check out my layout below and really….how many speech bubbles can you find?

I used my die cut machine and the teal paper from the Switchboard collection to make the first part of my title.  And I used the fabulous teal chipboard alphas for the rest.  I finished it off with a little embroidery floss and a cute phone from the ephemera pack.

I love that the speech bubbles have both words and pictures on them! Several of these were hand cut from the “Let’s Chat” patterned paper.

And I finished off the bottom with a few more Ephemera Pack pieces – 24 and 7.  Because, yes, she is on her smartphone 24 hours a day, seven days a week!

I hope I have inspired you to create your own trendy thought bubble layout or project!  Be sure to stop in tomorrow for more Switchboard Collection inspiration!
