Every one of the new Pink Paislee collections stands on its own with fun patterns and awesome embellishments. I love the ease of using a single, great collection…but sometimes lines coordinate so well together that they are practically begging to be mixed and matched. Today I’m bringing you a mini album I created with primarily Switchboard papers and embellishments but with lots of touches of Pen Pals thrown in. These lines work in perfect harmony!
I used a canvas banner album for the base and cut all the paper bases to 3.25″ x 4″, which is just big enough or Instagram photos or even thumbnail prints.
So many of the Pen Pals papers work with Switchboard. I chose to leave out the light pink from Switchboard and focus on the navy, coral, and teal. Mixing in the blues and beige from Pen Pals was a natural choice. And I love those Pen Pals small chipboard alphas too much to have not used them!
I tied twine around each page to unify the look of the pages. Each spread also has one page with a chipboard frame and one without.
I am just delighted about how this little album turned out! It was one of the smoothest minis I have ever created. It’s almost like these two lines were made to match together. It’s easy to mix collections and get even more variety from your favorites. You can change the entire look of a collection by bringing in a complimentary color or two from a different line!
