Using more than one photo per layout is always a challenge for me. I like to focus on one photo on a page because it’s much easier to build a design around it. Today I was challenged to use Four Or More photos on a page and I was asked to incorporate 3×4 pocket cards in a non-traditional way. I love the final effect! The very first thing I did was to cut two cards into squares and make a collage in the center of my layout with cards and photos.
I placed 6 squares in two lines. Then I added a cardstock title colored with Heidi Swapp mustard color shine. I added some chipboard stickers, puffy stickers and pieces of ephemera from the Hello Sunshine collection to decorate the rest of the page.
I wanted to focus on the photos and cards so I didn’t really use a lot of patterned paper, just one strip on the top of the page.
This layout is a story about the everyday life and everyday activities like cooking, crafting, planting or just celebrating the moment. And remember to have fun with your stash of 3×4 cards by cutting them into various sizes and adding them to layouts! No page protectors required!
