I started my Pocket Page album one year ago in the summer. It’s the best project I have ever created. Usually I do week by week, but this time I decided to dedicate a whole spread to my weekend in Spain. It was a great adventure and my first time in this country – so different than mine! I enjoyed the hot weather, sun and the sea. I found the Hello Sunshine collection to be a perfect match for this spread! The bright colors, happy mood and colorful elements were perfect to describe those few sunny days. For the background I used 6×6 paper pads from the Hello Sunshine and Pen Pals collections, but my favorite additions were 3×4 Hello Sunshine cards.
I love adding dimension by placing alphabets, stickers and embellishments on the outside of my pocket pages.
To decorate the cards I used the ephemera elements and the alphabet from the Color Wash collection. I also added a few puffy stickers to add more dimension to my pages. As always I sewed a lot and made drops of color with Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists.
One of the best things about pocket page scrapbooking is that the 3×4 and 4×6 cards are practically already designed but they can still be personalized with small bits here and there.
The puffy stickers work so great for Pocket Pages
Remember that Pocket Page Scrapbooking is a different way to tell your story and it is intended to save time but that doesn’t mean you can’t use a few more embellishments to jazz it up!
