Hello! Shellye here to share a functional and fun mini album as we “Focus on Ephemera” today for our hot product pick. The ephemera packs are always our top selling embellishment and it really allows for fun little decorations on cards, mini albums and layouts. Pink Paislee always includes a lot of fun icons, word art, tags and shapes so you have lots to choose from!
I found that these manila coin envelopes that I picked up from an office supply store, match the tangerine orange in the Pen Pals Collection perfectly. The envelopes measure 3.25″W X 6″H and I chose to use five of them for this project.
I spread out all of the pieces from the Ephemera Pack and began layering different pieces together to place on the pages. For the clear acetate die-cuts, I used a dimensional or thin adhesive dot to adhere them.
For my album I chose to tuck the gummed flap of the envelope down inside of the pocket; I love having pockets in mini albums because it’s a great place to add ticket stubs, journal tags and other bits of your own ephemera.
Lots of layers and dimension! I utilize a lot of foam adhesive in my projects. It’s so easy to layer and give a nice 3-D effect when you add a little space between. Highlight ephemera pieces, such as flowers, with adhesive rhinestones, pearls, buttons, etc.
In finishing the album, I punched a small hole at the top left of each envelope and then added a small ring through. I went for a large single bow that I tied onto the ring, but you can also add knotted strips of ribbon or leave plain! Now what Pen Pal wouldn’t love receiving such a sweet little gift!
