Hi All! Wendy here and I’m still crushing on summer + the NEW digital files from Pink Paislee!
Did you know there are TONS of coordinating digital files from Pink Paislee available over at AC Digitals?! Well, if you have been under a rock, head on over there and check them out! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!! In this project below, I blended several digital files from various Pink Paislee digital collections along with some paper elements. Yes, some hybrid scrapbooking happening here on this project. Also, you don’t have to feel confined to working with digital files in only one collection! Blend them up!!
As you heard in my last post, summer is my season, and these 100F temps (yes, truth) + crazy humidity on the Gulf Coast show no signs of summer slowing down my way. So, I’m keeping my summer jam rolling on with a mini this time in the Pink Paislee, ‘Make It a Mini’ series featured time to time here on the blog.
I used a mini album with page protectors pre-sized to fit paper cut to 4×4 size and all those fun Instagram style pics! LOVE this size album and totally do-able for a weekend project or gift-giving. I was inspired to create an album that captured my summer highlights, old and new, and just my fav pics that speak summertime to me.
I went for a simplistic monochrome touch of color for the title using the Solstice Puffy Stickers that perfectly matched to the leather cover of the album. Then, I added the ‘our adventures’ from the Solstice Rubons.
I also decided to extend the title to the spine of my album using my vintage typewriter.
Now let’s dive into my album to share a few of my favorite pages…
The album already has page protectors pre-sized to 4×4 size. Some of the page protectors are made for a full 4×4 page for paper cut to size. The rest of the page projectors are divided as 2×2 size pockets. The 2×2 size is perfect for printing off your Instagram style photos and including directly into your album. I re-sized my pics using the PicFrame app (sized to 3:2 in the app) on my iPhone and printed using my Canon Selphy CP910.
I used a mix of pattern paper from the Solstice collection and Hello Sunshine collection. The transparency is from the Solstice Ephemera. Perfect for starting the pages for your entire album or just the theme for a single page layout.
I added a touch of hand-stitching to one 2×2 square along with a chipboard heart sticker from the Hello Sunshine Chipboard Stickers.
For the 2×2 photo, I added in the ‘and’ digital directly to my photo using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Then, I added in the wood veneer letter initials for my fiance and myself for a little interest to the digital element.
The digital cutting files from Pink Paislee over at AC Digitals are just the best to re-size from small to large projects. In this case, I re-sized the star cut file small enough to fit onto my 4×4 page. Then, I cut the star shape using my Silhouette Cameo. Then, I added watercolor and stamping to finish off the page along with a touch of stars from Solstice Puffy Stickers.
On the photo, I added a digital file from AC Digitals to the corner of the photo. Then, I added the “1” from the Solstice Ephemera pack.
Here are some more pages from my mini album with the AC Digitals added directly to the photo…
On this page, I added digital stars combined with dimensional stars – a wood veneer and a puffy sticker star from Solstice Puffy Stickers.
There you have it! A flavor of my summer anthem in a mini!
