Well folks, it’s under 8 weeks until Christmas (sorry to remind you) and about 6 weeks until school is finished for the year here in Australia. With concerts, break up parties and such coming up, I’m determined to at least be a little prepared: I’ve got the teacher gifts sorted! I came across this idea of putting a manicure in a jar (well, at least the items needed for a manicure).
I started by finding a sweet apothecary jar at my local discount store. I then purchased a few manicure essentials such as nail clipper, files, nail polish remover and of course PINK nail polish. Hint: Make sure your files and things aren’t too tall for the jar!
And how perfect is the timing with the newest Pink Paislee collection Bella Rouge being perfect to decorate and finish off this gift! I wrapped some patterned paper around the jar and added a little cluster of small patterned paper banners and chipboard stickers to cover up the join.
Here is a picture of the pieces I cut/used to decorate my jar. The measurements will depend on how big your jar is.
I simply used double sided tape to adhere the paper strips to the jar. I used foam dots to adhere the chipboard pieces.
To finish off, I created a small tag to tie on. The tag itself I cut from a patterned paper and then layered up some die cut shapes and finished off with one of the stunning sequin butterflies.
It feels so good to have at least one gift crossed off the list. A quick search on Pinterest and I’ve found lots of other ideas for gifts-in-a-jar! I think this might become a tradition!
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
